I remember one time I was involved in a long distance relationship and things were going really well until I went to go see her. When we met everything was going fine until I overheard a phone conversation she was having with her ex-husband where she apparently had one massive meltdown to the point she said and I quote. "this kid is costing me my happiness".

Here's the really bizarre part. Her daughter and I seemed to get along fine so her comments to her ex-husband was perplexing to say the least.
