Topic: "HOW JSH HAS CHANGED OUR THOUGHTS!"

The time that I have been at this site I have seen
alot of different people that have come and gone.
I have seen those that came in like a LION and have
actually turned out to be a LAMB. Hearts that once
was cold are shinning though like a HEART of GOLD.
There are many that have found the other half of
there soul. Whether it be here they found them or
somewhere else.bigsmile  bigsmile

COULD IT BE THAT JUST TO HAVE A PLACE TO VENT OUR
THOUGHTS IS ALL IT TOOK TO SEE OURSELVES A LITTLE
BETTER AND TO BE ABLE TO OPEN OUR HEARTS FOR OTHERS
TO SEE THE TRUE US?smokin

MY Question is: Can you HONESTLY say that this site
has not helped you see the true you and let others
come into your world?bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile

Have you actually opened doors in your heart and mind
that once was closed?bigsmile flowerforyou bigsmile

All I know, is last night I was feeling a bit blue and a bit sorry for myself, and after reading and joining in some fun on here, you guys really lifted my mood. Sometimes, when you feel lonely, its nice to think of others out there in the virtual world, and you feel less alone. I went to bed in a stellar mood

Well, when I'm in a bad mood, lonely, or sad, I can get on here and post in the forums and talk to people and it puts me in a great mood.

People's perspectives are interesting, but I don't feel this site will change me any. A person needs to stay true to who they are, forever.

In the year I've been here, I've seen many things --

Encountered a lot of great people, some of whom I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Little glimpses into other lives. The common ground -- the understandings.

I've been impressed by the support that permeates this place. People hurt; someone is there to console, to advise, to point out another direction.

This is a good thing; sometimes we may have nowhere else to turn, no one else to turn to.

We can be inspired here, revivified. We can see we're not alone.

Every dating site has its downside, too -- but ours is so minor, so trivial, compared to what I've seen on other sites.

Sure, there is rudeness, there are sporadic trolls, there is the "me-me-me" of the self-absorbed, the hypocrisy, the stick-in-the-muds who live only to be eternally stuck....

I put them all in a box marked WASTE OF TIME and move on.

JSH has taught me a lot about people, about how to interact with people in an elctronic medium, about what people want, what they expect, about who's here and who's not, about e-reality, about liars and users, about victims and victimizers, about standards and preferences, and why it's important not to compromise yourself, not to become who you are not, simply for the approval of some electronic blips on the other end of a Dell Inspiron 2800 miles away.

JSH made it possible for the one true love of my life to get in touch with me again after two years apart. For that alone, I will be forever grateful.

And JSH has also taught me that there are still some pretty wonderful people out there in the harsh, post-millennial world.

Including you, Kristi!

Awwwwwwwww Lex your words do touch home as well as my heart indeed.

My self I have learned in the last year to open my heart a bit more and to see others views and needs as well.

For you see our troubles maybe bad at times but there is always someone else out there that is worse off. We can come here when we are down and walk away laughing till we are crying.

I have seen so many acts of kindness it has made me look at life in a different view. I see that hey my life ain't all that bad after all. I'm more thankful for the friendships I have gained.

I have spoke with those that have dealt with death as well as life. Those that are dealing with all kinds of illness from cancer to liver transplants. And the hardships they are going through. I have sat up on the phone or the computer all night long talking to them. What did I gain? I gained a smile, pride and I gained a friendship that was beyond anything money could buy. What more could one ask for.bigsmile

In JSH I have found great friends that is why I always come back though i don't have internet at home.
I have lost faith in long distance relationships, so I'm here just for my friends.
