I've talked to a number of people as of late, on here, and other dating sites .. who are online for posting in the forums and/or friends.

Some get flack for that when they are married. No fair!! I mean if they make it clear on their profiles they are only here for friends and forums, why should that be an issue? Can people not read?

But why not have that as an option for the "WHY" you are here?
Instead of just activity partner, friendship, dating, LTR or whatever .... I mean even though I have "looking for man for friendship" it still gets a lot of interested traffic, and honestly I am not really looking for a man for friendship & it sounds well, kinda weird. All I care about is posting in forums and friends of either gender....

I can agree with what you are saying. They prbably don't have that "option" because seldom are there people here like that. So basically its not worth the time/effort to put that in.

Even if you put in your profile you are just looking for "friends", thats not going to matter. Eespecially if you are female...the idiot males will "hit" on anything that walks and will continue to try til they find something.

So just having something like "friends" in your profile should send out the signal to anyone with half a working brain. But unfortunately, not too many of those around either.

Well, why not? To the extent that people actually ever look at the "here for" -- I know I do, but it seems a whole lot of them don't! -- it certainly couldn't hurt.

Actually, if we had that as one of the options, that's the one I would use.

I love window shopping in the forums, and trust me, I stop in and state my two cent's worth fairly often.

I'm up front and honest, but yeah, I even get mail with "married" chosen, AND my photo in a wedding gown. Go figure....

However, if you set your limits/preferences it limits who can contact you. Don't have the solution unless it would be more of a selection on what one is "looking" for.

well I had one up with a Christmas tree but I really just changed it to the friendship thingy .. I just think it would be nice to have that cuz I've heard it from a LOT of people.

we are all here for friends. you dont just want to jump right into marrige or dating before you know the person. i dont think that having your thing say friends/friendship has to do with alot but then again it might. if you go up to someone and you are like.. "MARRY ME" they are going to be a little freaked out, atleast i would.

how about this, make the profiles optional. make it so you can sign up a screen name without even putting up a profile, then nobody will look at it either way........

I know PLENTY of guys who do not even WANT to be friends just want to take it up a notch from first 'hello' email.

I know everyone wants to be friends, but some people get kinda shot down when they say they want to be on here altho they are married or engaged or have a significant other .. yada yada

Ummmm! Doesn't this site promote itself as a Free Online Dating Site. Why are married and hooked up people here anyway?

They should be tending to their mates by making warm coats for winter and cooking for them.... not online. Or go to another site for messed up married and hooked up people.

I'm never online when I have a relationship. Why waste my time here when there's sex to be had and things to be done for that special one! What's wrong with you married and hooked up people I ask?
