I'm still able to message without it costing me anything. Although I haven't messaged anyone new... they are all people I've been in contact with before the coin system transpired. And one new person who messaged me first.. of which I responded for free.

Thanks for the help and information, I cannot send messages so I will just have to be more sociable and offer to chat. Need something to spend my coins on.

No, I have not contacted them, I only have the free membership, and if they have changed the access level maybe I can no longer send messages. I have just found that I can send messages to those that I have already corresponded with, must be only new messages to new members that I cannot send.
