I have heard that they don't show you the monster in the movie.

I just watched it and they DO show you the monster quite a lot of times. from far away and up close.

It's a pretty good movie in my opinion. Pretty interesting and innovative way of shooting a film.

I like it.

O they show the monster! I believe a perfect amount of times. It leaves you still wondering pretty much what it was for most the movie. It is quite the cinematic endeavor. I thought they did a great job with it. Pay again to see in the theatre.

Ok, for those of you still deciding if you want to see it or not:

1. It is not Godzilla
2. Yes, it is filmed through the perspective of someone holding a camcorder (much like Blair Witch Project but not as bad, you won't get sick watching this movie)
3. If you're a sci-fi or monster movie lover, it's definitely worth it.
4. If you're jumpy or easily scared, this movie will definitely have you moving in your seat.

Ok, I said as much as I could without giving away the movie. Now go watch it already, because it's AWESOME!!

From what I've heard, Godzilla (1998) is actually better. Yikes!

OMG I HATED Cloverfield! It could have been SUCH a GREAT MOVIE but then just had to go and record it like he was documenting the night with a hand held video camera. It made me dizzy and I had to quit watching it at times. I just kept hoping that guy would get killed so the damn camera would hold still for a minute
