“Follow Your Dreams”

Does anyone really know?
In life where they want to go?
At one time I thought I did.
Back when I was a kid.
You know as time went by things change.
At times it all seems strange.
The way things are.
At times they are a bit bizarre.
But do we really ever end up were we want to be?
As a kid can we really see?
Where we will finally be as time goes by.
For when we are young we shoot for the sky.
At times we sacrifice.
But it is our choice.
For later we learn.
There are other things we want in return.
There are things we realize we need.
Other places that we would rather succeed.
Maybe it is within raising our children.
Or even our grandchildren.
How ever it may end up being.
In the end we will all be agreeing.
Maybe it was for the best.
For it seems that life is just one big test.
Just to see how far you can go.
Till you have finally had enough and ready to blow.
For after all things do seem.
Never to be like we dream.
To have the things we desire and want.
Instead in our dreams they just haunt.
Never letting them get close.
Kind of like a wild Rose.
You know they are there.
Only to a few they will share.
But you must be willing to go that extra mile.
To see there beauty it will be worthwhile.
The things you want you must not let them pass you by.
Does not matter what others say, go with your heart and try.
In the end it seems.
We should follow our dreams.

to me....dreams are kept tucked in so that I may not hurt again, but things are about to change, to where I might end up fulfilling a dream, so I have been a black rose, to some of which I don't disclose, so that they don't let that flower die, I keep it very well tucked in by my side...

"A dream is a wish your heart makes" but it is up to you to follow it and grab it by the horns so to speak and to fulfill it..too bad some of us find that out later in life. I try to instill that in my children. Awesome write Kristi
