Topic: Congressman gets it done!!! | |
---|---|
For those of you who know that I have been going through th eordeal of dealing with a state office (on the county level) not wanting to do their job, and thus denying me food stamps, the ordeal is now over.
I contacted my area Congressman last week concerning the issue. His office contacted the local Social Services Office yesterday (tuesday) and then contacted me to tell me that they were told thatthe local office was just following regulations. I explained the situation over the phone to the rep. from the Congressmans office, and she promised to look further into it. Well, today is day sixteen since my food stamps were messed up in the first place, and lo and behold, the day that social services were called from the state, my case was resolved, and my food stamps became available. I am extremely happy and releaved, and will be doing a major shopping trip tomorrow. However, one question remains: Why after sixteen days of "regulation following" does everything fall into place and get resolved on the very same day that social services is called by my Congressman? ![]() What do you think? |
