Actually have been in that situation and did not tell. Took care of it myself and never told him about it. He is still friends with the person to this day and we are no longer together so it turned out well.

I have been in that situation also. I think it just depend's on the level of flirtation and if it continues. Most people do not just grab there friend's girlfriend's/boyfriend but without assumption first that is ok do! Meaning some eye contact or prior flirtation.
