 that's more then i can do
i'm taking another day off today because i have to have my oldest son up at the hospital early today. He's having this procedure done that he is not looking forward too. He has a phobia of needles. They are going to give him a shot in his neck to numb his whole left arm so they can work it out and he can start using it again. |

Oh Katers I am with him on that needles are scary things.

Oh shoot, you told me about that! Just have him do some deep breathing and for God's sake, DO NOT LOOK AT THE NEEDLE!
I've gotten used to needles, used to have to give myself 1-3 shots a day.

I didn't think I could either, you get used to it when you have to do it. It was either that or go to the doctor every day, pain in the ass!

I'm use to needles after having him..i looked like a drug addict after I got released from the hospital.....steroids and all sorts of others..yuck. They don't bother me now but it scares him to death. Too bad I don't have an ipod for him to distract him.

Just have him look away, close his eyes and focus on some deep breathing. maybe they'll have a magazine or tv he can focus on.

They have ways of calming their fears at least enough to distract them and get them through the procedure. Deep breaths.....both of you!
