I was young, naive, stupid, and pregnant...thinking that was the answer. Long journey, lots of lessons learned, out of the situation, better person for it and in spite of it all...

I think I wanted to be in love so bad that I overlooked some pretty important dangerous faults....

Why you repeat the same mistakes but only in the case of relationships?

My ex came and told me about her ex bf
and how they got pregnant and about how he decided that he didnt want to be a father and with that said she had chosen to have an abortion. shortly after that he bailed on her and I guess thats when I came into the picture. We had been dating about a year and she was now pregnant again and after telling me this she said that she didnt want to be a mother of two children on her own (she has a child from a previous relationship) and that if I didn't want to get married that she would end her pregnancy.

My daughter is 5 years old going on six (shes eating lunch right now in the other room), getting married was the greatest thing I have ever done, but not for the reasons that should be.

Yeah, I was coming out of a train wreck situation that had been going on (on and off) for a few years, and was hoping to find someone more "normal." I was introduced to a girl who was absolutely adorable and who said all the right things (albeit with a marked hillbilly accent, which I was able to ignore). I was stupid and naive and thought, "She's exactly what I need right now." And maybe she was, for that "right now" -- but a year and a half later, I knew I had made a horrible mistake.



Her lack of intelligence, her lack of any desire to improve herself, the fact that she became addicted to drugs, the lies she told me, the fact that she sold the ring I bought her so she would have money for drugs, her jealousy and overpossessiveness during the time we were together....and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Her whole family has major issues....!

The guy she got involved with after me -- he was her drug dealer -- dumped her, after they were together for a couple years and had two kids together. Her family killed the guy for that. It was on the 10:00 News and everything.

I've always felt that meeting her was the single worst mistake in my life, and I would go back and prevent it if I could. I'm out of all that now, I haven't heard from her or seen her in years, but even now, there are certain places I avoid because I know she lives near there.

But it's something we all have to go through. Each relationship helps us learn things about what we want and don't want in a future relationship. That's the way I look at it.
