seems like eons since I last talked to you
in reality it's only been a few hours
slowly ticking by
seconds standing still
willing the phone to ring
the timer to buzz to clock out and go home

to smell your scent once more
the touch of your hands upon my face
I close my eyes and I can feel your embrace
Your breath on my cheek, breathing on me
whispering "I love You" softly in my ear
Tenderly touching, caressing my hands
fingertips sensitive
senses coming alive
I close my eyes and see you there
then the ring of a phone wakes me
from the daydream where I wanted to stay
wrapped in a cocoon, nice and warm
