A beautiful illusion
Of something I desperately
wanted to be true.

Just a reflection
of a dream that I thought
was you...

But I had to switch gears
As I realized
It wasnt as it seemed

I will not abandon you
Ill be true in your hour
of need

Ive ignored the signs before
Thats never a good thing
to start.

There are things I cant
face with you now
I must protect my heart.

We have a great foundation
Our friendship is still
in tact..

I just know if it goes
too far with you, there'll be
no turning back.

I cant fix you, tho Id
die trying, you know Im just
that kind..

But I cant ease the troubled
thoughts, racing thru
your mind.

So lets step back and
re assess just where we
go from here.

You know all you have to do
is call, Im your friend
and Im always near.

Humm is it really an illusion or is it the real thing?
