Well in the history of the US any black blood meant you were black. I think this is changing some but that is how it has been historically. Most mixed race people with black in them claim the black above the rest, why this is, I do not know that answer. Unless it is from the historical indications before. Either way he is a promising young man. I see him doing well for himself and possibly our country if he makes it there.

well in this country, like it or not, race does have somthing to do with many things. My question wasnt a matter of race per se, but one of polemics.

When you register a child for school, that is how they do it.
Then the school shows what percentage black and what percentage white, etc. are attending the school.

pardon me, but i didnt ask how schools conduct racial categorization. I asked for the rulebook article detailing exactly how having an arbitrary amount of black ancestry automatically classifies one, ipso facto, as black.

from the Wiki:

"Barack Hussein Obama (pronounced /bəˈrɑːk huˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/;[1] born August 4, 1961) is the junior United States Senator from Illinois and a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2008 presidential election.[2][3] The U.S. Senate Historical Office lists him as the fifth African American Senator in U.S. history, the third to have been popularly elected, and the only African American currently serving in the Senate.[4]"
