when I was younger a few of my friends and I made swords and sheilds out of duct tape. Cut some cardboard, added some newspaper, then duct taped it all together until it was hard as rock. indifferent

I use it now to hold items together when moving from building to building or lifting from and too my truck.

i have actually taped a duct with it before, works pretty good!

Duct tape was a waterproof sealing tape for ammunition cases back i think in WW2 (i'm not that old) lol it was waterproof However its a quick fix tape for temporary repairs nothing more Use of this tape on duct work is not a good idea the glue of the tape drys out and does not make a proper seal

there is a tape made for duct work but its not called "duct tape"

best use i have had for it taping the ex's kid to the bedroom door 5" off the ground
great tape for sand blasters keeps the sand off anything the tape covers even with a blast of sand on it

I had some chrome trim on my '78 Aspen "race car" that I used to hold on with duct tape. Believe me, it just amplified the charm of that car.
A pic of it is in my profile!
