Tho Christmas isnt about the present-
Its about the gift inside the heart-
Things you can give that dont have
a price tag.
But one gift I wanted to give and couldnt find
I searched high and I searched low
But that perfect gift evaded me.
Just the one thing I knew would
catch your eye, capture your heart
and say without words
I love you-tenderly, screaming,sobbing
and panting.
Finally, after all that work
I was prepared to resign myself I wasnt
going to be able to find it.
But the God of my fathers smiled upon me
and suddenly the perfect gift
landed in my lap, as if almost effortlessly.
And just as I knew it would...
Your face lit up and that beautiful smile
shone so brightly that said
all I needed to know- I did good!
See its not what is under the tree
for me this year, but wathing those I gave to
open their gifts that gives me joy.
However I knew after the way I felt
It was unfair to rob others of watching me experience
how they cared for me in their efforts
to find that thing to show me their love.
So I graciously accepted and watched their faces
light up as they saw that they too had brought me joy.
So while it is important to remember the true meaning
of CHristmas, and that the greatest gift to mankind
is embodied in the giving, it is also just as important
to learn to receive.
For without receiving Gods love and forgiveness
Mankind would be lost.
Give, receive, love and forgive, & Merry Christmas
to all my friends and loved ones.
