Heres a solution...ladies you put it up when your done and I'll put it down when I'm done...We will always be thinking of those who go after us.

 At my house it stays fully down when not in use. All users have to put it up for themselves and then down again afterwards.

So there!

I agree! That is how I am!

ok the reason why the toilet seat goes down is cos when you flush all the spray sends your pee pee floating around the bathroom which will be the same place you store your toothbrush...yukky

OK, let's say a man and a woman each use the toilet 5 times/day.
The woman has the toilet seat down all 5 times.
The man, considering the daily constitutional would need the toilet seat down once.

For a total of ten uses, that is down 6 times giving 60% of the time, thus it only stands to reason it is DOWN more than it is up so it should STAY in the down position.

It all sounds like a territorial dispute to me.

I just imagine how livid a male wolf would be if the female put some kind of plastic barrier around their favorite tree.

"Chivalry is in the toilet."
laugh laugh

Manner's is the key word here

No women want to get up in the

Night and set on a cold ring

Of the Blow This could make

Your Life like H*ll so

Please have Manners and put the seat down

For your own safety and health because

The next time she cook's for you

The water she used could be coming from

That same Blow you left the lid up on noway laugh laugh

I think it all depends on WHEN each party does their business

You know the honeymoon's over
And love a wilting flower
When she comes in the bathroom
To sh!t while you showersick

oh so true....

I'm well trained in this respect laugh

Think about it though.. we do have it easy: unzip, aim (well... try laugh ) and let go.

A little courtesy never hurt anyone.
