hey everybody i've been having an issue lately with getting constant IMs
from people that i've never recieved an email from or met in the forums
or anything, guys that obviously didn't read on my profile that i'm
married and looking for a woman, but insist on IM me without ever having
introduced themselves and just go into oh i wanna meet u and i'm a real
man and blah blah blah. i don't wanna be a total ***** but i find
myself getting incredible irritated by these people, i feel like i could
at least get sent an email that says hi, my name is.. would it be ok to
IM you or something. am i out of line here. and is there a graceful way
to handle getting out of an unwanted IM?

rae.. wego gave the the answer to that.. go to your "my account" page
and click on settings.. then click on 'turn off IM'... now they HAVE to
email you :o)
