first and foremost i would like to commend you for admitting that there are indeed terrorist in the world. there might be hope for you(doubtful as it is)

you say that no terror attacks have happened again and it is illogical to say it is because we are in iraq? it is illogical to think it is otherwise. they can not afford the time man power or resources to launch yet another attack on the US while we are depleting their numbers on the battlefields that are iraq and afghanistan. which is to say we are more than making a dent, but you wouldnt know that without having actually seen it with your own eyes. you have however seen that there hasnt been another attack here, so i guess the government wit its resources is doing an at least somewhat fair job on keeping the blood in your body.

we are no longer at war with iraq. wtf did he just say? you read it. right now iraq is merely a place where we are fighting terrorist of any nation that sends them there. of course maybe you would rather we let the fight(which is happening one way or another-cause hugs just dont work anymre)come to your neighborhood.

we had a large number of forces in afghanistan on 9 11? thats interesting, i mean im in the service and I didnt know about that.

The alternative, learn Farsi so you can communicate with your masters as you live a short miserable life, that can be ended at their whim, on your knees at their feet.

The sad thing about terrorists is that if you take out one, another is ready to take his/her place. The war will never end, 9/11 was not the first time nor will it be the last time we are attacked by terrorists. Just like the "war on drugs", the war on terrorism will never end.

I agree with you totally especially because this "war", is about ideologies...you cant settle that with bombs..religious zealots have no fear of death, they welcome it.

and yet, they continue to use suicide bombers to try and settle it. and of course the zealots fear death, that is why they arent the ones in the suicide vest's.

the family of a bomber is taken care of, like being given a large life insurance policy. that is one of the main reasons they do it, and then the propaganda machine with videos and the like are wheeled out in the name of martyrdom. yea yea yea another one off'd himself. to bad he took 23 kids with him, but lets not let our heart bleed for them.

I too live this wayflowerforyou But many do not and they are being lead down the yellow brick road of fearmongering and warmongering. We are not making a dent in terrorism in Iraq and the reason we have not had any new attacks has absolutely nothing to do with our military being in Iraq. It is illogical to even think along those lines.

Terrorists are worldwide. Iraq is not the homeland of terrorism. Iraq has not perpetrated a terror attack in our soil to this day. 9/11 was perpetrated out of Afghanistan WHILE OUR MILITARY WAS THERE!!!!!!

Come on people. It is not as plain as day.noway

I am too smart to buy that bull. We would not be fighting terrorist here, that is babyshrubs fearmongering propaganda. We got struck on 9/11 out of complacency on our part. We watched terror attacks in London and elsewhere in the world but we were too ignorant to think it could happen here. We ignored intel to our own demise.

Check out when the military went to Afghanistan. You will see we were in Afghanistan when the perpetrator of 9/11 did his crime.

People, we are not heading off terrorism one bit, we are emboldening them with this personal agenda attack of baby shrubs.

I guess I just have to keep QUESTIONING people over and over. WHERE IS THE PERPETRATOR OF 9/11?????? WHERE IS THE VINDICATION FOR THE 9/11 VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES?????

They have fought each other this way for hundreds of years. Nothing new. We are just party to it now. We cannot change them. Just like any other person, they have to ASK FOR HELP first before they will be willing to change. FORCED HELP seldom works.

We definitely "forced help" on them, we bombed the sh*t out them and now occupy their streets with major artillary, the threat of violence at a whim. How the hell is that helping them???

Dragoness, you can't reason with people like this. Their stratagy is to always assualt you personally if they can't successfully attack your convictions.

major artillery? not anymore no, not for awhile now actually.
you dont get to hear from the small voices that ask for help, you are ony paying attention to the loudest of the fanatics, who are a small minority, but your the party of the minority so i guess that makes sense to you.

they havent had bombs for hundreds of years, sorry to burst your bubble. and the way they used to do it, was nothig like this.

they would actually take the best fighter of the group and face off against the fighter from the other group. you really need to brush up on the history, oh sorry rewritting again?

sorry this is the only timeline and mention of when troops actually went into afganistan, if you know of some other place that it is documented i will be more than willing to concede, other wise you are just making up more crap, but your a writewr right thats what you do, write stuff you make up, doent have to be based on fact. is there a disclaimer, the following is based loosely on a real story?

September 19, 2001
The U.S. sent combat aircraft to Persian Gulf military bases.

Saturday, October 6, 2001
President George W. Bush tells Congressional leaders about the upcoming attack.

Sunday, October 7, 2001
Osama bin Laden releases a videotaped statement before the attacks begin.

9:30 a.m. EDT (approx): The leader of the Northern Alliance says he believes the U.S.-led attack will begin "very soon".

11:30 a.m. EDT (approx): Israel is informed about the upcoming attack.

12:30 p.m. EDT (9 p.m. local time): the United States, supported by Britain, begins its attack on Afghanistan, launching bombs and cruise missiles against Taliban military and communications facilities and suspected terrorist training camps.

Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers stated later that 15 long-range bombers, 15 aircraft-carrier-based strike aircraft, and approximately 50 Tomahawk missiles from US and British submarines were involved.

A Northern Alliance spokesman later tells CNN that attack hit anti-aircraft batteries near Kabul and "at least three terrorist camps" near Jalalabad.

Initial reports are that Kabul, Kandahar, and Herat are among the targets. Electricity in Kabul is almost immediately cut off.

1 p.m. EDT: President Bush makes a televised speech announcing the attack and discussing further US's intentions, including humanitarian aid."On my orders, the United States military has begun strikes against al Qaeda training camps and military installations of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan." ... "We are the friends of almost a billion worldwide who practice the Islamic faith. The United States of America is an enemy of those who aid terrorists and of the barbaric criminals who profane a great religion by committing murder in its name."
