Ok so my friend has been seeing this guy for a little bit, they are not serious but she is starting to have feelings for him. The problem is that the first nite they had sex they both enjoyed themselves and he im'd her the next day and wanted to see her again so he showed up after he got off work and everything was cool and they had a lot of fun drinkin and watchin movies and all that!! Then the next morning he wakes her up at like 4am to have sex but before they did he said he wanted to talk to her for a min and proceeded to tell her that he has "Herpes" and that he is not seriouse about anyone right now he is just having fun and enjoying himself and his freedom!! WTF  people for real she really likes this dude but he is not feelin her like that, what can I tell her?? I am at a loss here because I love her and I wantwhats best for her and the guy is a great guy aside from the fact that he chose to put her at risk instead of being honest in the beginning because he was affraid he wouldn't get none. I really need some good advice right now cus what I am telling her she is not listening to cus like I said she really likes him and the way he makes her feel not just sexually...like I said he is good to her and he is a great guy buuuut he should have been a man and been honest with her from jump if he cared about her even just a little bit. All sugestions are welcome...thanx!!!  I suspect you are talking about yourself. A great guy? Good? This man is one SOB. Herpes stays with you for life. I would go see a lawyer and see if you can't sue this "great and good guy" who gave you a lifetime disease.  I knew that was going to come up sooner or later lmao...No it was not me I am not stupid enough to sleep with someone I hardly know without protection...see that is what you get for assuming!!!

OMG! She needs to dump him and go get checked! You do realize that even if she wears latex that this will not protect her? How can you even say that he is a great guy, NO he is a liar! Your friend needs to get checked and IF she does have Herpes, if I am not mistaken...I think it is turned into the Health Department? BUT if I was her, I would contact the Health Department and turn his loving a$$ in for having sex and not telling the truth until after the fact!
I would say NO GLOVE NO LOVE....but condomns don't even help for this nasty stuff!!!

Hmmmmmmmmmm I have a friend who wouldnt sleep with her bf for the 3 months it took for the aids test..........could you wait that long??? Oh wait I did....... This is why I have that 3 month rule! I have never dated someone and slept with them before the 3 months are up. If they couldn't wait 3 months...then they were not worth my time. HMMMM maybe this is why I have only had a few dates since July of 04

I don't think I've EVAAAAAAAH read thru an entire thread before .. this was amazing. Especially the inner JSH family feuding going on while the OP was trying to get some true advice. *rolls eyes and sighs*
I'm gonna side with the 'you can't tell someone how to feel" comments. Honestly if she is not seeing RED after this happened she shouldn't just be going to get herself tested physically, but have her stop by a counselors office on the way.  *shakes head in disbelief* DAMN.

You know after posting this I found out a lot of things that I didn't know and I am glad that I chose my close JSH family to talk to about this!! I talked to her tonite and she decided that she was not going to see him anymore and that she is going to go to the doctor tomarrow and I am going to go with her cus she asked me to. She also said that she is going to turn him in to the Health Department because she now realizes that he should have been honest and told her up front and not worried about not gettin some cus it would have been her choice and she would have made him go to the store and get some rubbers.
Thank you all for your support and advice and all the fact based truth you had presented. I knew this was nasty but I had no clue that it was so dangerous!!

Let us know if the Health Department does anything about herpes cases. I know they do about HIV cases. She needs you for a friend now, you know. |

I will and I know she needs me and that is why I am here for her, she knows I will not judge her or stab her in the back!!
I am also going to have her get a pregnancy test cus she thinks she may be pregnant as well...DAMN I want to kill him for real!!

Well there is good news to report on this issue she came up negative for the Herpes but it is still a little to early to tell if she is pregnant or not, she needs to get tested at least every 3 mnths just to make sure though!! I am soooo happy for her and like I said she is not going to see him anymore and if she turns out pregnant she is not going to get rid of it but she doesn't really want to tell him but I told her that she needs to he has a right to know and he had better step up to the plate and be a man and take care of the baby and her. She has learned her lesson and God has protected her this time but will he next time?? Well she said there won't be a next time!!
