feralcatlady's photo
Tue 03/11/08 08:07 PM
This thread is long long overdue....People are always asking why can't you just agree to disagree on your religious beliefs....as long as I have been doing this thread (10 years) it will never happen...

So this thread is for all the different diverse people to get to know the person......I don't want to know what religion you are. I don't want to know your beliefs.

I want to know the person behind it...What makes you tick? What makes you unique so to speak....

This is for fun people..get to know each other chat..and just for once have fun...

It's about time!laugh

Thank you for doing this Deb!

I am very passionate about a lot of things and it can be a burden as well as a blessing because people take advantage of it. I'm kind, caring, fun, outgoing, and so much more.

If there is a person in need and I am able to help I wil even if it puts me in a hard spot. I would rather people see that I am giving and willing to help then selfish and stingy; besides that it just plain makes me feel good.

What else would you like to know about me? If I don't want to answer I won't but I won't ignore you either.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

My passion is oil painting and making websites. The Internet... I love it! It is my window to the world, and my library.

My weakness is buying things with one click over the Internet. Google now has a one click buy.. once you sign up for it, if it is sold through google, you can purchase it with one click. Amazon... one click you can buy a book. I love books.

I don't have a lot of money, and most of what I buy are books. I seem to have a weakness for CSS books. CSS means "cascading style sheets" and it is the new thing in web page design. So far I have six books about CSS and some training videos. One day I will be and expert.

I am learning all about Internet marketing and recording my frustrating experiences on a blog called webwitch wonderland. Here is the address: http://webwitch.wordpress.com/

If you are looking into any kind of Internet business, this might be interesting to read. If I ever do start making a fortune on the Internet you will be able to follow me and see how I did it with this blog.

Hi I hope this thread proves to be what it was intended to be. I value everyones opinion. Including the ones I disagree with.

I'm pretty straight forward no BS. If you want to know something about me just ask.

I exercise a lot. Usually six days a week. It is definitly as obsession. It makes me feel good, It keeps me healthy, and it gives me the time I need to clear my head and keep my day in the proper perspective.

I love nature and the outdoors. A lot of my exercise is done outdoors, I like to hike, run, bicycle, ski, snowshoe, etc. I enjoy long walks in the woods. always makes my soul feel good.

I have two cats. I love animals in general. My cats are my boys. they are very mischievous. Hours of endless entertainment. An unconditional love which is rarely matched by any human I have ever met.

Anyway that's a little about me. Just looking to get to know people and make some new friends. flowerforyou

I am just me....

bigsmile

Everything excites me, interests me, attracts me... people fascinate me, and their behaviours.

I have had an extremely action packed, experience packed 44 years, and every part of it a lesson... a blessing..sometimes well disguised, but eventually I see it for the invaluable addition to the Who of me.

Feral, I am having a challenge here...I can describe the Who of me, but it is ever growing... ever expanding, not containable, so describing me is a challenge.laugh

The What of Lee...44 years old, female, mother of four amazing people, Australian, employed, independent...and content.

I devour books, theories, philosophies.

This Earth we all call home, is my deepest attachment, and am at my most content on the Ocean, or by the beach, or amongst the trees and native animals. Digging in the garden, encouraging health in the land, plants, my children, people...

I dunno... take me as you find me, I guess.laugh laugh

I am what I am and i am Popeye the Sailor Man's fan, whoot whoot!?!?!?!?

Hi all!!!

I likes me spinach! yup yup uh huh uh huh uh huh.

I wanna play too!!

I am eclectic AND ECCENTRIC and love light banter and most of you know me somewhat already and I am drawn to this like a moth to a flame!!!bigsmile

Double entendres spew forth when I am boxed in and plain talk flows from my heart when I read a touch in it.

I have a fascination with mutual respect and dignity for everyone and love chatting with people that challenge the notion and have a clear mind and open heart and can speak their mind and keep their heads.

As nature displays, not all trees grow in the same dirt.

Trees, we are, in the garden of this forest.

Live life 68, Howdy man !

Britty, (((((blushing love )))))

Feral, dear ((( kitty cat)))

Jeannie, I know we can have fun in here, welcome!!

lurchs_sister, welcome to the thread , I look forward to getting to know you. Hi there.

and , of course, Jessie Lee!!!!!smokin drinker bigsmile

the queen of the screenflowerforyou flowerforyou

I hope I can keep up with you! Who and What you are is beautiful.

Well, I am older and wiser than I once was and have outgrown a lot of the what, but what that is now and who I am is hard to defend, but fun to explore.

51 and father of four, single parent of one, carpenter by trade and General Contractor by profession with a Mensa mentality and my app. filed aptly in the round file for hopes of a better alignment.bigsmile

I've been up and down, spun around and left for dead and found with breath in me by one that I adore.

I am a JSH addicts anonymous member and proud of it!!!
But I don't attend the meetings. Something about remaining anonymous that just seems to be one of my eccentricities.

I entered the Matrix late last summer seeking to add internet and computer fluency to my skillsets and am finding that challenge formidable. JSH has veered me off into meeting people from around the globe.

WHY is everyone here so FAR AWAY???sad sad sad sad

Like Rick said, in my favorite movie, "We will always have Paris." Well, where is Paris?

It seems it may be here!!!bigsmile

Last but not least, I have found an outlet in dirt track racing. I am not the driver due to a couple of loose vertebrae but I love encouraging the game!
I am not a big drinker, but the dirt and oil and methanol in the air with the noise and the mayhem is intoxicating.
Battling with others and being one with this elite group of nuts that love to go around in circles together seems too much like home. Like here, I guess.laugh laugh laugh laugh

I will try my best to keep it pithy.

and love on you all, within limitshuh

Have fun pinning the tail on me. I like being poked as long as it doesn't hurt too much.

From what I can see, so far, this is a fun group that will grow.

I am happy to be here.

Well, so this is what introversion into ones self looks like....hmmm...
\
Well I , dig the things i like- writing, reading, playing a little guitar when I have the chance. I get ticked off by people who drive slow in the passing lane, like the color of deep red.

dogs make me smile, cats make me grumpy.

I cry during sentimental parts of a movie more than the sad parts. would rather watch a "chic flick" with good acting than a shootem up movie with bad acting.

the telephone voice, you know the customer service voice, makes me cringe- why cant people just talk like normal people?

I am the guy who would not think twice about running into a burning house after someone, or jumping into the water to help pull someone out...im not a gloryhound and the credit always would go to someone else over me(the way I like it to be).

anyway, thats me, without the weird quirks that we all have.

Creative soul...

Determined...

Passionate...

My heart comes through my hands...

A vessel for all that flows through...

Contemplative...

Linear...

Flucture... that'd be flexible structure...

----------------------------------------------------------------

Wondering how one shows the apparent reflections...

Studying why...

Remembering what...

Revisiting the feelings of when...

Tangibility is evident...

The recognition of what has been known...

And how...

Comparing to that which is experienced...

Within...

Relating it all to that which I seek...

Upon walking into me...

sometimes I walk into myself and bump into my head like its a wall.

Then other times I walk through myself.laugh

then find another wall to break down.

Such is the life of a bull in a china shop:wink:

oops, a double entendre and against myself I do stand in contradiction once again, not speaking plainly.

I have much to learn.

Who I am continues to evolve and grow ... like all of us ... some things I know ...

mother of none - nurturer of many, compassionate ear, accepting of others, an unencumbered joyful laugh, an idealistic optimist, I offer help freely but won't ask for it myself...playful, passionate...

curious about people ... who we are, what we care about, our hopes, dreams and fears, why we do the things we do ... I am a student of humanity and human nature.

the quieter I get, the noisier the world seems so I tend to spend more time in nature

I love to paint ... especially large scale abstract expressionistic ones ... like landscapes of the mind. I become a conduit for that which chooses to breathe life through me ... the paintings choose me ... and the best days are the ones where time and space disappear. I haven't painted in awhile (lack of time and space) - it is soon time again...

It is the same with writing. Oftentimes the writings become catalysts for visual work ... sometimes they are just moments captured..

I am not musical and yet I have songs and melodies rolling around in my head. I will have to figure out a way to get them out ...

I love the textures of nature ... rock, bark, moss ...

I am a healer - and for as long as I can remember I have always felt the emotion and physical pain of others within me ... it is why I choose to remove myself from certain conversations/situations and is why I am rarely in the threads anymore...there is way too much going on sometimes ...

I have a questionable sense of direction ... a nebulous relationship with time ... and I tend to meander rather than walk in a straight line...there are too many interesting things I would miss if I didn't detour down the side streets laugh And yet, there are times where I am single minded and focused and dare I say it ... quite linear. laugh

My favourite sense is the sense of touch and my favourite sound is the sound of a heart beating through a chest ...

...just a little about this being of 'me'

all started with me.. Go Figure,,,,

I am so loving this. I love that their are so many creative people with the painting.

I am a mom of two daughters 15 and 8 I have been with my dear
husband for 26 years. I love to do things with my daughters,e even though sometimes its like pulling teeth with the older one....lol I am very involved in my woman's club. President for the last 4 years. We do all kinds of work for our community such Operation Smile (raised and paid for 9 operations last year) Operation Smile is where doctors from the United States, go to third world countries and operate on kids with cleft pallets. Operation Christmas Child, we have participated in this project all 13 years. This is through Billy Graham's Ministry where shoe boxes are filled with goodies for kids in third world countries for Christmas. Soldier Boxes with all kinds of necessities plus just fun stuff. Hygiene kits for the homeless, support of community safety programs, literacy programs, conservation projects, support of local schools, sponsorship of library programs, assistance for abused women and children shelters and advocates for children through many other various projects.

I am of course involved in my Church Open Bible. We just went to India and built a church, orphanage and a water well. These are some amazing human beings in India....Very humbling experience for all. I also have an on-line Ministry....A Ministry to the Stars, Do the Website and the Newsletter for the church also.

I also am a wildlife nut and advocate for them. I feel they can't speak for themselves, so I am there. I have a feralcat sanctuary at my home. I rehabilitate wildlife such as cougars, bobcat and even had the pleasure of taking care of some ligra's Which are a cross between a lion and a tiger....Not happy with people who bread them...but nonetheless fell in love. I also have up to 50 domestic feral cats. This is one of my greatest passions....over 25 years.....This is a big problem all over the United states and I want to make a difference not merely exsist. I also work with Wildlife Waystation and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and Catnippers.

I love love love my friends. And The Matchmaking Game on JSH is a big part of my life right now. I have matched alot of people and just made the most awesome friends in the process. I am a friend in every sense of the word, I don't do anything half ass....It is either 110% or not at all.

Alot of my friends in life and on here know that they can always come to me either for advice or just to vent.

I'm truely blessed this day to find so many have posted after me and this thrills me to the very core!

I'm looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you and making some new friends and getting closer to a few of you that I ahve a bit of knowledge about already!flowerforyou

LAMom... you are truely amazing!flowerforyou I have read a lot of your work in the Poetry room and love everything I have read. I feel I have a bit of a sense of who you are and thank you for sharing that with all of us!

CS... Your writing here is beautiful and comfortable yet makes me think. I'm looking forward to more!

ArtGurl... You and I have the "texture of nature" (love that) in common. I am a rock collector. I love to be outside and get my hands on things the Lord put there for my eyes to see and my hands to feel.

Michiganman... I'm not sure about you but I'm thinking you have a wonderful sense of humor and I can't wait to see it explode all over these pages.

Wouldee... I'm in awe of you!blushing Ask me not why as I have no answer but there is something about you that draws my attention and I'm looking forward to getting to know you as well.

Armydoc4u... Good to see you here and thank you for your service and helping me to have this wonderful life I live each and every day! Without people like you this world would be a darker place. You are appreciated!

Jess642... Your intricacies intrigue me and yet there is a little girl quality about you that makes me laugh and smile.happy Your ability to learn is going to be a challenge to me as I too love to learn and learning from others is the best.

Britty... I know not much of you but you are here and you are a friend of feral so I embrace the chance to get to know you with open arms. I too love to read!

Jeanniebean... You sound very intellectual yet a big geeky and I love it! Please don't take that badly as it is meant fondly. You soak up knowledge like a sponge and yet you feel like an old soul and that is wonderful. Are any of your paintings online?

Livelife68...Seems to me you would be a good mediator when others are in times of crisis and can't figure things out on thier own. You seem to me to have a patience about you and a quiet strength that would fill that position well.

Feral... You dear sweet woman! You are a mother and friend to us all! I have a bit of knowledge about you and am looking forward to building on it. You have met a dear friend of mine in person and he raves about you so you are top notch in my book! Love to you for this thread and hope it comes together the way you visioned.

God bless!

I love all about the earth that you said....and also a passion with me.....except the garden part.....cuz as much as I love it I don't have a green thumb....lol But I did love to find out the native plants that I could go across the street and pick and eat or cook with......That was some good times...lol I to love love love the ocean.....And I was a typical surfer girl the first 25 years of my life starting at 5.

I think we would be friends jess...we have a lot in common.
