i came back to apologize...i didn't notice i was posting in the religeon forum...yeah i suppose he is...my theory is that i've never done anything bad enough to spend eternity in hell for...i have a good heart...was brought up in the church...love old gospel music but have never felt moved or overcome by the holy spirit or anything

i came back to apologize...i didn't notice i was posting in the religeon forum...yeah i suppose he is...my theory is that i've never done anything bad enough to spend eternity in hell for...i have a good heart...was brought up in the church...love old gospel music but have never felt moved or overcome by the holy spirit or anything being good or doing good works will not bring you salvation. A personal relationship and heart surrendered to Him in daily repentance is true salvation. You can go to Church all your life and miss heaven. I hope you don't. Take care...

being good or doing good works will not bring you salvation. That’s because good people don’t need salvation. Jesus himself said so. “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Only sinners need salvation by Jesus’ own proclamation. Unless of course you’d like to challenge the word of Jesus Christ himself, or suggest that he was being sarcastic in his speech.

God is love and His love is unconditional and true I thought you just implied that it is conditional on salvation? Or are you suggesting that God will still love a person whilst he sends them off to hell? Some love that would be.

define good. No definition needed. It’s not necessarily to explain or justify yourself to men. All that’s necessary is that you are one with God in your heart. As long as you know where you stand with God, men don’t matter. All men want to do is finger-point. But who are they to judge? Their opinions don’t matter.
