Surrounded by fog and mist
Sounds distorted
Feeling disoriented
Yet so at peace
Hearing the creek rushing
So swollen from the rain
Feeling no pain
Ground soft and soggy beneath my feet
Slightly sinking into the peat
Lily running around
Her nose to the ground
Sniffing the elusive scent of rabbit
Left from a time past
Lost in this fog and mist
Feeling as if I am in another realm
My trenchcoat flapping at my ankles in the gentle breeze
Feeling so at ease
Perching upon a fallen tree
Just sitting here
Letting me be me

The question is how do you know its not his scent that was picked up?
Animals have a very Keen sense of more than just odors.
