Which is more important to you: a person's opinion or how they arrived at their opinion? How they arrived at it. A disturbing number of personal opinions are based on nothing but a misunderstanding of cause and effect. |

I would rather hear someone's idea, than opinion. like the old saying goes "opinions are like @ssholes, everybody has one", but not everybody has an idea.

Their belief system is usually what dictates their opinions...so that's what I'm interested in.

Opinions are like....everyone has one and they all stink, rather find out how they came to the opinion myself.

What makes people tick is much more interesting & an understanding of their journey provides a much better window.

I got choked up when my niece said that "mean people don't suck, they are just HURT." I've been hurt. I try to stay positive but allow cynics a bit of empathetic margin. |
