I want a relationship most of all, but since I started an exercise program a while back I find my sex drive has increased, so I'm up for just having fun too. :-P (And if it turns into something more, so much the better. A good relationship should feature great sex, I think! ;-) :-D ) I am looking to meet someone who is smart, into developing themselves in some way (has at least one or more hobbies), non-drinker, non smoker, gentle, kind. A happy person with a positive outlook. While I like to joke that pessimists are never disappointed, that's no way to live a life. ;-) I love a man who isn't afraid to say what he thinks, who is interested in the world around him, who loves life, who loves to laugh. I like masculine men generally, body and facial hair is nice (what is it with shaving these days???). I prefer monogamous relationships, at least in the longer term. I consider myself neither a 'top' nor a 'bottom': I like giving, I like getting, so to speak. In a long-term relationship I would want both; if it is something more casual....well.... we could see.... depends..... ;-) :-P (That being said, at this particular point in my life, I am VERY bottom friendly! :-D ;-) ) A man who shares some of my interests would be nice, especially music, art or gardening. Or dance..... ;-) (***Different interests are good too of course: teach me new things! :-D ) Now that I am getting a little older I find I am faced with a choice - take care of my body more, or face decreasing ability. I am trying to make the rational choice. ;-) It is important to me that a man whom I am in a relationship with takes care of his health and is in good shape. I don't demand a body builder or athlete, but I don't want my partner to die early on me because he has not taken care of himself. Being widowed once is enough..... Someone who plays games - I mean board games and card games and things like that - is someone I could have a lot of fun with. (I play Magic the Gathering™ among other games.) Intellectually I am agnostic - I feel we "do not know and cannot know", but emotionally I feel that there is "something more" that just what is on the surface of things. I feel this is an extra "filter" or such that I can experience the world and life through.... so long as it doesn't make me do crazy irrational things...... it's OK. ;-) I would welcome a man with a sense of reverence, even if not religious (in fact I am not nor have ever been much a church-goer - but I DO like churches themselves). Playing/creating music is the big thing for me....I play the piano and panflute & some other instruments. (I play while I walk & while I wait for the bus.... you might have seen me.....) I am into gardening (lilies are my favourites), also do some drawing/painting/writing (I edited a small neo-pagan magazine for a number of years). Lots of hobbies....I have extras should you need one. :-P Like to dance, nothing very disciplined.... just moving to music. Keeps me somewhat fit (plus, since I don't drive, I walk a lot). In the right lighting I have just a hint of a six-pack. :-P Despite being artsy, I also have a strong interest in science & like to read stuff on astronomy, biology, physics, etc. (Not that I necessarily have expertise in the articles I am reading, but I like think I have a general gist of what is going on. :-) ) I don't watch TV or movies, play video games, listen to the radio or much (recorded) music. I don't much like traveling, crowds or loud environments. Haven't driven a car in over 30 years. Buy most of my clothes used. The World economy would go to heck if everyone were like me. :-P (I don't ask that my partner skip/give these things too (well, maybe the TV ;-) ), but it means I haven't much to say on movies, TV, etc. ) I'm a Neo-Pagan, but not a typical one (really just more a 'small p' pagan). My religious philosophy is closer to Buddhism, though I have not studied Buddhism particularly. I'm looking for a relationship most of all; someone with whom to share a life. I was with a wonderful man (my second partner) for 17 years until he was taken from my by Cancer on 2008. Pardon the somewhat disorganized bio; it's getting better over time I hope. :-)
