(Don't panic, NY'ers don't bite..at least not most of the time ;). Looking for a friendship first, and see where it goes from there. Would love to share that "warm glow in the heart" finish to this life's story. Hoping to find a reasonably intelligent, non-married (at least be separated), fairly realistic someone with a slightly twisted sense of humor (ex:Groucho Marx, Mitch Hedberg, Woody Allen (the early years), Ron White, Lewis Black) to share time and smiles. I am not looking to bungee off the cliffs of Mt. Everest, or parasail over the Indian Ocean or go spelunking in the Spring. I am looking for a honest "normal" (whatever that is) man looking to share a life and what it may have to offer for the future. Not a perfect man, just a perfect one for me. I can be independent and can easily open my own doors, but its nice to see that old fashioned chivalry and manners aren't dead, and that a woman can be treated like a woman and appreciated too (even when she can be somewhat self-sufficient). I value honesty and trust and don't have the patience to play games, and I expect the same in return. I'm a very strong believer in communication and partnership, but not smothering. I have 2 grown children (that do not live with me full time). I also have several four-legged friends (which makes it really hard for them to find pants). Would like to share some nice times together, share a conversation, a few laughs, a brunch, a dinner, movie, museum, play, concert, a drink (not all in one day, of course..) maybe coffee (preferably strong, no sugar, with a flavored creamer) (Alright, we don't have to share...we'll get two). We can see what happens from that. Not really interested in someone with a criminal or drug-related background, thank you (unless you're in the police force or ATF and such..not that you ARE the criminal or user..). I am also absolutely not interested in a purely physical relationship nor do I plan on being a free online "chat" partner for anyone ...(spend the money and call a 900 number if thats all you are looking for). That all has it's place in a relationship, but not when you first meet someone or contact them on a site like this (I don't do one night stands). Not looking for a long distance relationship. If you're only looking for a Barbie doll, pencil thin runway model type, move on to the next profile ..not only am I not the woman for you, but you're probably not the guy for me either ( a bit too shallow and superficial)... so no harm done.(Note: I'm not required to buy two seats on a plane..lol). I have realistic expectations at this age, and believe the "substance" of a man far outweighs appearance. Not that appearance doesn't matter at all..I certainly can appreciate (and expect) personal hygiene and a warm smile. I know a man in his 50s or 60s is not a man in his 20s, and I'd like to believe he is a better man in general for the progression in age. Perhaps he has even learned some life lessons. (Although I have met a few that make me wonder..lol) Extra 10 points if you know the difference between being romantic and being vulgar and crude, additional points for being able to admit when you are wrong and apologize (it doesn't make you less "manly"). If your profile contains an unclothed picture of yourself taken in your bathroom with your cell phone...ummm..I'm sorry, but I'll pass, thanks!. I am getting this all out in the open now, so that we have no misunderstandings, right from the beginning. If I have held your attention, then perhaps you should get in touch. If you're not really sure what you want, or cannot verbalize it.... Figure that out first, because I'm not here to try to figure out what you want, and I'm not a mind reader.
