I do not want to hear from young girls. I want to hear from mature women. Hi, I was made a Widower in 2014 after 22 years of marriage to the most wonderful lady. I was 71 in April. and I still cant believe ive hit this age.. I am a very sensitive and caring man, I am intelligent, articulate and well informed...I am loyal person. I believe that a man’s handshake is his bond. I would like a woman on my arm again, a kind, mature, intelligent and tactile woman, a Widow if possible, a professional woman, maybe a nurse . I want to be happy and love again once more. I miss being close to someone, having a best friend and someone to laugh with is very important and I have a lot to offer someone in this way. I know the most important thing to have in any good relationship is chemistry. I am young at heart, I am of the ‘old school’ and consequently I believe in traditional and gentlemanly courtesy`s and manners which both have long gone from my country, in my opinion, but which I still very much live by. I have become very politically over the past 30 years and feel that it is important to stand up against oppression of poor and vulnerable people, which is happening to a great degree at present. I feel it is very important to stand and be counted if you believe in something. Ideally I would like to meet someone who shares this care and empathy for other people, as in my mind it shows a gentle heart but strong principled manner. I suppose in this regard, I do have high expectations, but as said, if we are compatible in this way, then I know real joy and happiness can bloom. I cannot stand bullies, or injustice, and always defend the underdog as my local activism and letters to the local paper show. I have stood as an Independent for parliament at a general election years ago and got 199 votes. I must add that I believe life is all about balance and that politics is not the be all and end all, but more a path towards a better life that we all strive for. Together, we all have to be kind to each other and try and enjoy the everyday simple pleasures in life. I am not a big fan of small talk and I can be a very quiet person, until I get to know someone well. I have had my heart broken when I lost my wonderful wife but believe now after a few years, that she would want me to find happiness again and I know I can make someone feel very happy.
