About TXHardWorker
What can I say, I have a thing for alliteration. Am I the only one that thinks text messaging language will be the doom of our society?? "U R so hot. L8r" and such things make me want to puke. If you can't bother to at least attempt to spell something properly, then please don't bother to write me. It's not 'cute' it's plain pathetic. I actually hate doing these profile things, though I do enjoy reading others' comments. Life is too short not to laugh, so I try to do so as much as possible. Generally at myself because I provide great material. I'm far from irresponsible however. I'm an odd mix of conservative and liberal values. I guess that makes me a moderate, although I don't really enjoy political labels. I'm college educated but I don't feel that that alone makes someone intelligent. But I won't be involved with ditzy airheads. I don't have a need to be someone's intellectual superior, but I must respect them. I LOVE college football. I'm a Sooner living in Texas, but I had a stint in New Orleans for a couple of years. I got out just a month before Katrina. I have mixed feelings about New Orleans, it's a nice place to visit, but........ I still think the best thing about it was the crawfish. If it's not freezing I love to be riding my [[motorcycle]]. Right now that's just a Honda Shadow (a cruiser) but someday to be a Harley. If you've never ridden before (on your own or with someone) you don't know what you're missing. I was an only child, and at one point in I wanted children exuberantly. But so far that hasn't evolved. I can say I have no mre-conception on if I want to have NO kids, or still TRY to have kids, or adopt. I think I'm young enough still to have options, so I guess I'm waiting to see what life brings my way. I don't have any of my own family left, although I'm still close with my ex and her family, although they are several hundred miles away. I visit on holidays because they are still family. One of my biggest irritations are people that do not reply to messages. I'm not talking about the "What's up" kind of messages, but the kind where you put at least SOME thought and effort into the note, where it's clear that the person's profile has been read. To me it's the epitome of rudeness to give back NO reply. I've replied back to everyone that's written to me, even if it was to say I didn't think we were a good match. Is it so horrid to expect the same? Common courtesy just doesn't seem to exist much anymore. Hmmmm, this is longer than I meant it to be. Want to know more, then ask!!
