+++UPDATE+++ Just got pulled out of the Inactive Ready Reserve for another tour. Leave on 11 JAN 2008 so buyer beware. Did six years in the Army. Got out Novemberish. Quite the adventure. I'm currently a student at the University of Minnesota and this fall is my last semester of college ever!!! I'm originally from Minnesota and am part of a huge family. Not my immediate family so much but the extended family. They're must be like close to a hundred of us at the family gatherings. We're one of those obnoxiously loud Italian families that practically clear out a restaurant and take half an hour to sit down while the employees are scouring for more chairs and tables. I really enjoy the Italian thing to be honest. I've gotten really into cooking as I've gotten older and I love it. Probably the greatest feeling of satisfaction I get is when I spend a good two or three hours just making a dish absolutely perfect, furtively watching everyone I serve take the first bite, and then the reactions of palette orgasm which ensue. Well, greatest *mental* satisfaction anyways. I think I could almost make a living out of it if I seriously wanted to. I have a hand written notebook filled with all of the recipes I've collected over the years and even a bunch I've come up with myself so if you're itchin' for some Genoan Minestrone followed by veal scalloppini in a saffron-cream butter sauce full of porcini mushrooms and shallots with a few gles of some great valpolicella (I'll settle for tempranillo though) I'm your man. Followed up by some twice baked biscotti and espresso of course. Oh, je parle francais, sto lavorando all'italiano, και δεν έχω καμία ιδέα πώς να μιλήσω τα ελληνικά. I'm really social and can very rarely censor myself in public even when I'm around children or the old folks. I like to go out fairly frequently. One night a week at least. It doesn't have to be some wild raging frat party that's comprised of game after game of Presidents and ******** and oodles of binge drinking but just a good night out once week is kind of mandatory for me. And now to sound cliché by mentioning my social "duality" but I also enjoy the nights in just chillaxin'. Oh, and I think my favorite thing to do is sleep in. I'm a complete elitist when it comes to music, television, movies, and literature. Speaking of which, here are some quick favorites: a. Bands: Dream Theater, Machine Head, Hall & Oates, Billy Ocean, Frank Black & The Catholics (so much better than The Pixies), Otis Redding, The Coasters, little bit of Stevie Ray's non-overplayed catalogue... that'll do for now I think. b. Television: Anything on the History Channel or Discovery to be honest. Adult Swim stuff of course. South Park, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia which is undisputedly the funniest ****ing show on television. I kind of like Flight of the Concords on HBO too. c. Recently, The Dark Knight. Also recently, In Bruges, Gone Baby Gone. All time though is a toss up between Commando (yes, with "Ah-nold" in all of his 1986 glory) and The Big Lebowski. d. Anything by Hemingway, seriously. The ending to "A Farewell to Arms?" Probably the greatest ending in the history of the written word. Also, "For Whom the Bell Tolls?" F****ing brilliant. "Through the River and Into the Trees?" Fantastic. I just can't heap enough praise onto the guy. Ernest aside I love history, particularly ancient Roman. I do some biographies too. ------------------- I suppose a bit about who I'm looking for. I'll keep it simple. If you're honest and dependable that's all I need. I've gone over three years since my last serious relationship so I guess I'm "properly" geared up for the next. Or something. Man, that sounds lame as hell when I read it back to myself. Oh well, it's true. Lastly, the whole thing about how a guy's first judgment when he sees a woman is whether or not he'd have sex with her or not is completely true in my case. I can't help it; and I can't help what I am and am not attracted to. Besides, don't you think if two people are going to have a romantic relationship that they should at least be sexually attracted to each other? I do. Bon appeo! P.S.
