Laughter! I laugh at life, at Internet memes, at great movie lines ("Insanity runs in my family; it practically gallops"), and at myself. Style-wise, I'm a bit of a tomboy yet all woman: I'm comfortable in old faded jeans or evening wear--and I make both look good. I enjoy cooking, reading, movies, hiking and other outdoor activities, baseball (to watch), bocce (to play), flea markets, museums, music festivals, Scottish games, antiques, art, and my animals. Speaking of animals, my fella must love them as much as I do because I have three dogs and three cats. Oh, and my future fella: He'll be funny, strong, capable, reliable, honest, tolerant, and kind. I like a man who doesn't take himself too seriously so if you can't or don't laugh at yourself, move along my dear. I am not for you. I'd like to find someone who shares some of my interests. I'm not looking for instant marriage OR instant commitment. I believe that friendship must be the foundation of romance. Oh, this is probably important: I live in Maine now but I'm moving, hopefully by autumn 2014. I have discovered that I do not like winters that last for six months--not one bit. On the other hand, I'm not locked in to moving anywhere in particular, so if I meet the right guy, I can always move closer to where he is. (Not in with him, mind you--I'm not looking for an invitation to cohabit. I need my own digs!)
