OVERVIEW - I am well educated, and it has served me well in life. My career is over, and I am retired. I own my home and car. Debt free. Financially secure and independent. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. Prefer serious daters (quality over quantity). Politically Independent. PAST MARRIAGE - I have been married once, and we had a great marriage. But, her life's journey is over, and I continue my journey in a different direction. HOBBIES & ACTIVITIES - I have enjoyed the outdoors most of my life. I like day hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking. I played a lot of team sports as a child. When I became an adult, that interest waned. I have been a movie goer since I was a teenager. I also have an interest in reading, photography, road trips, and a few other hobbies. I don't expect you to like or participate in everything I do. I am always interested in pursuing new hobbies. Hopefully ones that you are interested in. RELATIONSHIP - What do I look for in a relationship? For me, the most important thing is a great personality connection (chemistry), that has the potential to lead to a great life-long relationship. For me, it creates the greatest amount of personal happiness. I like to be equals. Sharing of responsibilities and decisions. Companionship, trust, communication, respect, and good conflict resolution skills are important too. When it comes to decision making, it helps if we are both intellectually wise in different areas. Living separate lives while living together is not what I want. Life is better when you share your life with your best friend. WHAT I CAN'T LIVE WITH - I don't expect, or want, someone who is perfect. Maybe you were a foster child or had a particular struggle. This means that you have character and you are unique. Problems such as alcoholism, drug addiction, or DSM issues is not the kind of person I can be with. I have my flaws. But, I work at being a good person, and a better person. WHAT KIND OF GUY AM I? - Helpful, empathetic, compassionate, humble, reliable, responsible, appreciative. Feel it is a privilege to be in your life and care about others. I am a perfectionist at times. Introverted, confident, down-to-earth, and honest. Have a good sense of humor, and like to make you laugh. Most people think I am simple, but I am actually complex emotionally and intellectually. My friends describe my personality to be like: Keanu Reeves, Russell Crowe, Matt Damon, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Hanks, Prince Harry, or Bradley Cooper. WHAT KIND OF WOMEN DO I LIKE? - Have a strong sense of responsibility and ethics. Usually have a calm demeanor. Detailed oriented with good problem solving skills. Truth, justice, good intuition, easily sense right-and-wrong. At the same time you seek harmony and balance. Seek avoidance of conflict, and seek compromise. Detail oriented and responsible. Consider yourself to be intelligent, wise, tolerant, realistic, rational, balanced and fair. When you are happy, you become the life of the party. Afraid of being a bad person, or doing something wrong. Prefer taller women (5'6" or taller). I prefer those who are introverted, reserved and avoid conflict. Possible introverted examples are Kaitlan Collins, Nicole Wallace, Tate McRae, Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Middleton, Penelope Cruz. EXPECTATIONS - If we should meet, and you find a flaw in a possible relationship, I would not be insulted if you don't want to continue. It doesn't mean that there is something wrong with either of us. It just means that we are not meant to be together. Neither of us want to drive down a road together when one of us knows that the road is a dead end. SUMMARY - The one thing that is really important to me is great chemistry. Things like, intelligence, emotional intelligence, partner equality, communication skills, and good attraction to each other are important too. It's nice if we have some shared common interest. My overall goal is to find someone to build a great relationship with and spend the rest of my life with them.
