Seems like she was trying to fight fire with fire. Trump is NOT exactly the poster boy for stability.

Two wrongs don't make a right but...
comes to the house invited and refuses to shake her hand, so adult.

All this fuss about a copy of a speech and no it's not a gender thing, not sure what that means.

I agree. I just smh head at the hypocrisy of people who support Trump, but then speak get upset about how other people 'behave' or carry themselves. (It especially is sad when the expectation for them is higher for a celebrity or athlete than their POTUS).

I believe politicians should carry themselves with maturity and integrity, but then that does not necessarily win elections anymore.

I don't want to live a non-white neighborhood whatsoever not even for free... I don't want to have nothing to do with them... I have never had a positive experience with blacks ever in my life... God knows I have tried. just stay away from him as far as possible.
That is your experience and depending on where you were raised and the quality of people of a specific race that lived there, you would develop such an attitude. I know others with similar experiences and attitudes. When your experience is with people of a different race who have similar social and economic beliefs as you, then you will see them not as an inferior person but someone who has the same values as yourself; then their race is no longer something you can use to predict who they actually are.

Exactly.

Raised in the USA, we have the races: White, African American, Asian, Native, and Pacific Islander.

I only regard as racism the thinking that presumes to know ANY individual of one of those groups by only knowing which group they belong to. All of these groups are broken down by where their ANCESTORS were from.

All five of these races have diverse individuals with diverse cultures and values and appearances. I really think anyone that doesn't give another a chance or consider giving them a chance JUST because of which of these groups they belong to is behaving in a racist manner. I believe anyone that takes a character trait or value and assigns it to every member of any of these groups automatically is behaving in a racist manner.

I also respect that it is to each their own(racist preference or not...lol)

I do not expect much from SOU's in general.

There are so many issues to nitpick from to find the ones that can be spun as positive and attributed to the POTUS who speaks, as if everything is perfect.

And always the token two or three individuals who have had something positive happen FOR THEM and been invited to the SOU to exemplify the wonderful things whatever POTUS is doing.

I do not expect much from Trump but

blah blah blah, I am the best , blah blah blah, no one knows more than me, blah blah blah, no one has done more than me, blah blah blah, only believe me , blah blah blah .... blah blah blah, childish jab at someone or something

I also have grown to actually feel ill when I hear Trump speaking. Hence, I did not watch. I could not help to hear some from the other room where it was on though.

I don't have trust or distrust of entities. I trust and distrust people according to their actions.

There are some in government I trust and some I do not.

It is too good for television. Another problem is that it is publicly viewed, inspiring more bs grandstanding. I wish it was private until it was COMPLETE. And then, and only then, should the transcripts be public. The proceedings should include citations and references to the 'evidence' each congressman/woman brings up or claims.

That way people can SEE for themselves and have to read and retain what the actual issues and responses were. As it is, there is a bunch of dramatic nonsense, in my opinion, and not just this impeachment, the last one too. Republicans will never vote against a Republican president any more than Democrats will vote against a Democratic President. The only non-hyperbolic and TRUE thing Trump has said is that he can shoot someone in times square and his supporters would not bat an eye to excuse or ignore or justify it.

I am just hoping at best that this election will boot his butt out the door. AS unlikely as it is (most presidents for decades have been two termers), I will continue to hope someone with more integrity, ethics, humility, maturity, experience, and actual interest in the public will campaign their way to replacing him.

well concisus has it ... he is lying to this day...
to the people as the voters of America also noted as ...
he calls scum ...

those believe the United States needs a brutal dictator... to save as one mind for America ...

These senators know ...how he can and will ...
smear them if they vote against him ...
they are in fear for their family's to be twitted about ...
an disgraces becouse of his own lies ...

lets see someone said if he says he is not lying... he is ...

thought that was true ... I do not believe when he call out Adam B. Schiff and others ...

saying there is no constitutional case against Trump ... we the peoples saw and heard some of these wittiness that say different ... this is outrageous ... let the people vote ... well if he has his way... then he will ask for more collusion from other country's for help ...just as he has done in the past ... but he does not lie ... they have a count for his lies sick ... but yet he does not lie ...

the man wants a speedy trial... does not want to have it still going becouse of the interference who want to watch Superbowl nor to hold up his speech to America and those that will give to his reelection ...

I find this a issue... he is dictating his own trial ...

well sense they say thats ...what Americans scum voters want ...so be it ...
an if the senator do not want to call for other witnesses becouse of this dictator charm ... Not smile2 this will not end anything... it will prove they are to scared of what he will tweet about them and fear for their family's...

personally... my own opinions... I understand politics and it is not all clean ...with either parties ... but there is a way to go about things with some dignity ...where the people of the united states are not call nasty names... if they don't agree with someone ...for ones own use ... I believe in... our country that needs to be respected... more...then just having a bully in his own playground ...taking from those less fortunate...

and they call that democracy ... for those who fight for our rights ... great ! just throw out some rolls of paper towels and get over it ...

Of all you wrote that I could understand, I agree we do not need a brutal dictator for POTUS. What we do need is a non-political capitalist who will call out the do nothing members of Congress on both sides. Most of what we have are highly partisan politicians pandering to their base instead of actually trying to solve our problems. While you and many others may not like Trump, he has attempted to push Congress to address some of our issues without much success.

Really, I think that is something every president of my lifetime could claim.

SUCCESS is being a member of the majority party. Mostly, you will always be supported by your party members when the votes come in. And good luck to you if you are not a member of the majority party, because you will mostly get obstruction on any idea, even if that same idea from their party members will be supported. It is about the numbers and the party line, not the ethics. It is sad.

Really, impeachment is always a joke. WE are too PARTY aligned. We do not have too much corruption in politics, we have too much BS party 'allegiance'. Individuals are held hostage to 'group think' instead of individual thought. They are held to more of an allegiance to the party line than to ethics and integrity. It is a joke.

Impeach a candidate? you know the outcome. IF the majority are of that candidate's party, nothing will come of it. That candidate will have their party line back them up and support them and the other party tear them down. All that will REALLY matter are the numbers.

you are or not

most are, but there are very different levels

Most racism is chalked up to ignorance. When you think you know about an individual only by their 'race', that is racism born of ignorance.

The only thing a person's race tells you FOR SURE, is about their ancestry. Whether someone is black or white, they are one of the billions in the same 'race' that are individuals and have many differences. Even in America, A black person from suburbia may be more like a white person from suburbia than a black person from the hood. Yet, people place everyone in a box and assume race is going to automatically tell you about 'culture' or customs or beliefs or values or interest of that person.

That is about ignorance. And living in the USA, going to the US school system, immersed in US media, I believe at least 95 percent of us have that to some degree. It takes an interest in UNLEARNING that way of thinking that most do not have.

Can you be more specific? I do not believe people are unanimous in their ideas of what 'socialist' is.

I do not support a disallowing of private property. I would support a system with MORE 'collective' or 'community' ownership, however.

You are right about Biden's son.

At director level you don't need knowledge of oil & gas or Ukraine

all one need's is lobbing power within White House

Sufficient to hold up the Alaskan pipeline on grounds of environment protection

so that Ukraine oil & gas keeps flowing.
--xxx

Ukraine very poor economy - I can live with this

or, being detained to consult on best practices, when you are a lawyer who as been on the US Dept of Commerce , you can assist a business in best practices, even if it is oil and gas

I never had a problem with family working in the same field, recommended amongst colleagues. IF they were QUALIFIED, who cares? I only have a problem when they don't really have the qualification, but are given positions anyway ....

Biden's son was chosen, along with many in his field, who were QUALIFIED to do that job, so there is no scandal except the fabricated one.

I prefer homeschooling because I live in Las Vegas where basically most of the public schools suck. As others have said, it does not have to be about religion or safety, just about what a parent thinks will work best for their child.

There are requirements and accreditation which has the children taking the same state tests as the public school tests do. I do not know about IVY LEAGUE type colleges, but I believe that this schooling is considered as valid as any other for college purposes.

Well, this thread is because if Bolton is allowed to testify
then whether Trump is impeached or not, it will cast a larger shadow over the President.

Republicans will then subpoena Hunter Biden and down goes his father.

Sanders is left standing. (not prediction, analysis)
[/quote

I think you greatly misunderstand Americans and American poltics. AMericans are not following the impeachment, it is a vague partisan process where republicans will defend their candidate and democrats will oppose him and in the end nothing will change.

We are very PARTISAN. IT does not matter who the democratic nominee is to republicans who will vote republican by more than 90 percent. Those who will mostly vote democrat are democrats and they will not see an endorsement by Obama negatively.

Whether republicans find a way to make the impeachment about The Bidens or not, it is still the same. Just like nothing can be said about Trump that will change the Trump supporter mind, nothing can be said about all these distant connections to Biden that will impact democrats who support him.

Why define the creator by the limits of its creation? Race and color are a function of tracing mortal humans through a timeline, God was before everything, so that would not be relevant.

Hillary Clinton did the wisest thing, kept Bill off the campaign. In fact, many analysts think Bill hurt her campaign - when he latched in during the later phase.

(And of course the swing votes - after the Mueller Report.)

Obama is a legend among Democrats - that's the reason he needs to stay off.

I don't think the American voter from the industry (Black and White) wants to see the mistake repeated. So Biden may lose in the primaries itself, heavily this time.

Unlike the Clintons, who were always targeted, THe Obamas left with a legacy of integrity and achievement. There is NO reason the support of Obamas would hurt a democratic candidate except with staunch anti-democratic voters who would not vote for any democrat.

The prediction is for the Democrat primaries.

Berne Sanders vs Biden

Sanders wins!

I do not go by predictions. Hilary was predicted to win. There is no crystal ball and no telling who wins. Staunch Trump supporters will only support Trump. Those putting up a democratic vote may go either way. But neither candidate will be harmed by support from Obama.
