No, my newsfeed is pretty mellow. But, I have seen that stuff from time to time. |

When should Yes be yes?
QUOTE: QUOTE: Moving to fast can cause thee demise of the best or worst! I think rushing in has it's pro's and con's! Pro- don't want to be thought of as " not that into you" or "old fashioned" . Con- thought of as " needy" or overly zealous. Just what is wrong with being "old fashioned"? Absolutely nothing. |

Telling someone you like them is not the same thing as rushing a relationship or moving too fast, IMO.

QUOTE: I have a new years resolution. I'm turning my life around. I'm going to stop taking any of that bad news seriously. Most of it is spin and all of it is out of my control. In fact, I'm going to stop taking anything seriously. I'm tired of the media whores attempting to manipulate the public's shock and horror at some story that may not even be true or accurate. I have done this for the most part. I don't have cable and I only listen to the radio when I'm in the car. Which is only 15 to 30 minutes per day. On the weekend it can be 0 minutes. I highly recommend it. |

7th day Adventist Church
I believe Catholics and Christians changed the Sabbath to Sunday because that was the day Christ rose from the dead. Sunday Mass is obligatory for all Catholics and all servile work is forbidden.

7th day Adventist Church
QUOTE: I was working for a woman in her home, Home health care, and on Saturday she heard me using the washing machine. She asked me why I was washing clothes on Saturday. (It was against her religion.) I told her I was not washing the clothes. I said I just put them in the washing machine and turned it on. The machine was actually doing all the work. She smiled.
Perfect. |

QUOTE: QUOTE: QUOTE: I have done some soul searching myself. I just don't see any advantage of being a couple or in a relationship. Except for sex; what can a man offer me? I don't think it's so much about what either party can do for the other or has to offer the other. I think it's about a connection you feel with someone. An attraction that becomes stronger over time. You enjoy spending time together and you start wanting to make the other person happy. Their happiness becomes important to you. At some point you may feel you don't want to live without that person. If none of that happens then you shouldn't be in a relationship with that person. I know you've had some really bad experiences and it's possible you'll never want to be in a relationship again and that's ok.
Again; I see no advantage of being with a person constantly. I like my freedom of being able to come and go. I find men way to suffocating and all they want me to do is stay home with them to watch tv. I may as well put a bullet in my head than to live like that. I couldn't see myself feeling that I don't want to live without a person on a person. What happens when they die? Do I fall apart; feel incomplete without them? As for happiness; I get you want to make them happy but many times it is at a cost of making yourself unhappy. An example is a guy wanted me to cut back on my band gigs with the military which made him happy but made me resent him. I am just looking at this from a logical point and not an emotional point. Sorry; if I come across harsh but like one thread said; there is a point that one is practical about life. I am not trying to rain on your parade so please forgive the way I word things. You are not raining on my parade. I understand where you are coming from.
I wouldn't stay in a relationship if that's how a relationship felt to me. You are right to be true to yourself and what is right for you. |
