Trace all current economic woes right to the response of the government following the Dot Com bubble burst. Who would have thought the internet would have ruined us? ...well besides for ruining the social fabric of our society.

Wait, but how can that be? I mean, it's the worst it's been since Hoover? This must be part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!!! Or perhaps Bilderberg? What we need is for Ross Perot to create a chart, buy up some air-time and teach us all a thing or three about chickens and stuff :)

Statisticians lie, or can skew the data to whatever they want them to be.

And once the people who collect unemployment fall off the rolls, they aren't counted any more in the statistics.

IDK about the rest of the country, but, in wyoming, there is no one to hire. No Joke. everyone who wants a job has one. unemployment is lowest in history, just over 2% in the county I live in. However, according to the meida, everyone is out of work and on welfare. So much for the MSMgrumble grumble

You can't gauge what's happening in the rest of the country by just what's happening in Wyoming.

Lindyy says:

OMG mnhiker, we kind of agree. OH, no, it is the end of the world. Here in Pittsburgh the economy is horrid. BUT, I have friends in Texas and North Carolina who say the economy is booming. (I must add this, PGH, all of PA is democrat, Texas is Republican, do not know what N. Carolina is but it is in the Bible Belt, would assume that is Republican.)

Regardless, of my 'must add' I think it depends on each state and what has been going on in each one for years.

Just like that REM song, 'It's The End of the World As We Know It'!

But hasn't it always been so?
