The cycle of keeping them happy and in return being rejuvenated by their smiles and giddiness when picking them up from school.
-my daughter running across the classroom, jumping from 3 feet out into my arms for our daily spinaround!

watching them make sense of the world based on what you taught and they saw . . .
-my son came to me one day because he heard a noise. "where?" I asked giving him my full undivided attention. He thought about it . . .
"at the bye-bye door"

I feel you man....My kids have always acted like they enjoy every single moment with me, they hang on my every word...to them every moment is like being in heaven.....they make you feel like God...just fer a second.....knowing that this moment as well as so many others will stick with me and them forever. Knowing that it will make me cry while alone fer the rest of my life.

My daughter had the most beautiful long hair - BUT she detested having it brushed and would hide it - once she hid it and I couldn't find it for 3 days!laugh She's put it in the pot of an artificial ficus plant I had sitting behind a chairhappy . I remember blowing bubbles, with her during her first bubble bath, her angelic face while she slept. Her helping her grandma load the dishwasher, running around squealing with laughter and making a "tent" out of my dining room table.   She's my life:heart:

Just remembered a funny one - we'd relocated to a different state when she was 2 so I allowed her to keep her "nuk" for awhile - by now she had the larger clear ones and I turned the toaster over on one morning only to discover that she's put it into the toaster oven!!laugh Guess what - that was also the last day she had a nuk.........laugh

I remember the first time my daughter said a bad word. She was 2 years old and we were walking in Walmart and all of a sudden she blurted out, Dammit I left my purse at home. I nearly fell to the floor. When I asked her where she learned that from she said she learned it from her Uncle. I explained to her about using bad words and from then on if she heard a word that she didn't know she would ask me if it was a bad word or not. But what was funny was if we were in public, and someone used a bad word, she was the first to tell them you shouldn't say words like that.

What fond memories do you have of your kids when they were small???

Besides the tea parties and scavenger hunts I used to have with my daughter, I recall her having a blast when we would both put on thick white socks and fill a couple of squirt bottle with mild soapy water then squirt the kitchen floor down and sock skate....this was fun for her and got my kitchen floor clean at same time bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile
lmao, remindsme of a similar stunt my brother and I would pull. My mom would was the floor once a week, and for the first hour or so it would be dangerously slippery, if you didnt knowshe had waxed it.
So when she waxed, we went behind her in our stocking feet and went skatinguntil it was buffed down enugh to not knock my dad on his a$$ when he got home from work.

Mom making pancakes for nine starving kids. It would take about a hour and by the time she finished cooking she was exhausted. We would watch her try to grab a bite while she was trying to feed a bottomless pit. By the time she got to the third child the first child's plate would be empty and I would have to wait for more pan cakes. Mom got smart and started using a grill and bought gallon size syrup container. Since mom had five girls we four boys were glad that mom taught our older sisters to cook and clean house because we felt sorry for mom trying to do it all herself.
