other sure signs that someone doesn't care for you...they delete you from thier friends list with no explanation (online) they don't call or return calls, you see them hitting on other people, you tell them you love them and they say thank you, all in all it pretty much adds up to

To the OP, if someone said "I don't know what to tell you," after I'd expressed my feelings I would look them in the eye and say, "Tell me how you feel." Then...you'd know!

It does not have to me they are not interested. Could just mean that you caught them off guard and do not know how to respond. They they never thought of you that way and need some time to think about it.
