A little Christmas tale I wrote for you to share. Feel free to copy and share for Christmas. It is of my own words and told in the way I was told to write it. Hope you enjoy.
(Yes, I know it's early for Christmas, but before you know it, it is already here.)

The Lamb Who Saw The Star

As the shepherd watched his small little flock, grazing in the grass below, a whisper touched those that can hear, like the words on a breeze. It was the voice of an angel, "Come, for unto us, a Savior is born."

With that, the little lamb shook her head, as if she couldn't believe what she just heard. The she looked up and with a sparkle in her eye, she asked, "Mama, what is that?"

The big fluffy ewe looked to the sky and saw the most amazing thing. It was a bright star, looking like a cross with outstretched arms and a tail so long, glowing through the night sky. "Why I don't know dear, but our master seems to know." As the two look at the shepherd stand, staring into the sky.

He grabbed his few belongings he owned, strapped them to his shoulder and started walking towards the distance of the star. The sheep knew to follow the good shepherd. As the small flock follow the shepherd, still looking into the sky, they silently bay in the night.

"Mama, what is a Savior?" Asked the little lamb with curiosity.

"Well dear, from what I have heard, it is supposed to be the One who comes to make things right." As mama ewe was watching which way the good shepherd was going.

"Is there something wrong then?" Still confused asked the little lamb.

"Well dear, from the great spirit in the sky, He wants to make sure things stay right with His world as it is. If something goes wrong, the One will make things right." As best as mama could explain.

They trudged on for a distance before the little lamb noticed a group of people, heading in the same direction. "Who are those people, mama?"

"They look like people of importance my little precocious one. They wear gold on their heads, so they must be of some importance." As mama kept up with the rest of the flock.

Those people were of importance. They were the three wise men. They were carrying gifts, in which to give to the New Born King.

"How much further, mama? My legs are getting tired." As the little lamb was trotting at a fast pace, keeping up with her mama and the rest of the flock.

"It doesn't look like it's too much further dear. We're almost directly under the star." As mama looks up, with the glow getting brighter.

As they looked ahead, they saw a manger outside of a barn, next to an inn. With a little excitedness, the little lamb ran up to the manger, curious as to what all the fuss was about. When she got to the manger, she looked in and saw a little hay bed, with a baby inside. She peered in and was amazed at the little cherub laying there so quiet.

Just then, the little child saw the little lamb and layed his hand on the lambs soft little head. The little lamb felt like everything was going to be all right. A calmness came over the crowd, as they laid their gifts out for the little child, who became, Christ our Lord. As everybody knelt, with the receiving of that touch on the little lambs head, angels in the heavens above, sang praises to the New Born King.

It just freaks me out when the stores start putting out Christmas stuff in August. Too much commercialized competition.

I hate it too...Christmas isn't what it used to be and isn't celebrated for the right reasons. But it does get here rather quickly.
