questions (and just looking for some insight to this question not to argue in any way) as far as a reason for making it legal as an economic reason....to help the economy, they would tax pot...correct? my question is this...wouldn't it raise the cost of pot because of tax? would dealers want to file taxes for it? if they get it under the table now without tax...why would they want to pay tax now? i admit i don't know the whole economics of the taxes, so i was hoping someone could enlighten me on it  One reason for dealers to go ahead and pay the taxes on it, would be because it would reduce the costs associated with hiding from authorities. The other thing that would happen there is that you can probably figure the Tobacco industry would get their fingers in there and commercialize the farming of cannabis, which on that side could significantly reduce the cost. As that happened unlicensed dealers would begin to find it harder to sell their product. My guess is initially the price would go up some but after a year or so it would begin to drop dramatically. |

People who smoke it and like it will do it regardless of the legalities. I think adults should be able to decide for themselves what they will or will not do in the privacy of their own homes...
In the "free world" it ought to be adults being able to have a choice. Having a choice for themselves (if they want to partake of it or not)is what it's all about for me. True freedom does not really exist for us, nor really does the proverbial free world. We are always restricted to do what the government dictates. I feel like pot is the least of this worlds problems. I can believe someone might OD on concentrated THC but not from smoking pot. I know too many smokers that are extremists at times with the best of weed. No way can you OD smoking it. No way.  I don't care who wrote the article. I will never believe it. If someone died smoking it it was probably from choking on a bud they sucked in the wrong way.....       |

I know me too. You can have alcohol inside but not outside, you can smoke here but not there, etc. It is so maddening. Some states still try and regulate sex between consenting adults too. It is all BS
for real....just light up the bong...have a drink with a pack of marlboros in your pocket and let it be....as long as you're responsible for your actions who cares....whats it really hurt? unless im about to start the "ozone" layer conversation, and i hope i dont |

You can get high on this but not that. People are going to do what they want whenever it is possible...legal or not. I think we should concentrate on reducing more severe and traumatic crimes instead of wasting jail space on a pot smoker.

i am a libertarian so i believe anything you do thats not hurting any one should be legal.
just because its legal dosent mean we all have to partake just allow others if they chose to. |

Peace not to delve into poilitics more but i feel like both parties try to restrict some ones rights all the time and its starting to piss me off... only thing is i dont know what to do. i didnt like any of the local canadates on the ballot last time because of that fact but there was no write in option or skip button to press... thats why i dont like voting now bad first expirence i guess i dunno, but yeah our rights should be protected and i just went on a rant. |
