It matters to me due to maturity. I prefer women around my age and older. Younger ladies seem to not have their priorities straight. There are some decent exceptions, but often not really knowing what they want is a big problem. Experience in a woman is like finding gold.

And I would def date someone in their early 50's if they are a young 50ish body and spirit!
I would def date a man older than 50 before i would date a kid in his 20's

If they could have the mind and personality of a 40 year old, but the body of a 20 year old, that would be ideal. But rarely do the two go together. I would love to find a young bubbly girl but at the same time down to earth.

I have an age range due to my experiences with younger men...I want to date someone who can relate to my experiences. Most men 10 years younger want children or have young children. I have been there done that and did it well. Would I say never, to someone outside my age range? No. If he knew what he wanted, could articulate it well in words and action...then I could be swayed.

I personally wouldn't go near a man too much younger than myself. There's much to be said about a mature older gentleman who is done with some of the nonsense that younger men have to hand out. Plus, many older men don't let their unit do their thinking for them anymore. That makes things serene.

I've never heard the Johnson referred to as a "unit". I'll have to remember that.

as far as older, it varies a bit. my mother is only 18 yrs older than me so i can't go too much older before i start getting close to my mothers age. i guess it just depends on how attracted i am to the girl.
