Probably not, but it depends on the details. I don't think it was wrong for people to lie to the SS to protect/hide Jews during WWII for instance.

hard question although I don't like lying in the past I've covered for people I felt loyalty towards and by lying they felt their honor would be protected.

Only if it's something that will save that person's life. Other than that, I wouldn't want to lie.

depends upon the situation. If it is something very serious, I would prolly not lie. If it was a one timer and not too serious, and it would protect someone I cared for as a friend, I might lie, or at least with hold comment
