It depends entirely on what you're here for.
By its very definition, mingle is a verb, meaning: 1. To bring or mix together or with something else, usually without fundamental loss of identity. 2. To prepare by mixing. 3. To come into contact. To move about, as in a group. Keep in mind that nowhere in this definition does it say anything about dating. That said, it should be considered as a social site, with the intent of fraternizing with friends and acquaintances, both old and new. If two people should find themselves attracted enough to each other and a relationship between them develops, it should be considered a bonus. Unfortuantely, most people who join this site completely disregard the social aspect of it, and the only thing in their field of vision, as well as their mindset, is the word "DATING", therefore prompting them to think of this site as nothing more than an online meat market. Those types of folks somehow cannot wrap their head around the concept of others who are NOT looking for a relationship (for whatever reason) being here simply for friendship and camaraderie. |

It just really irks me when I see people who INSIST on calling this a "dating site". Dating is the absolute furthest thing from my mind while being here, and I'm certainly not the only person like that. Just because the homepage states "dating" does not make this site strictly for ONLY that purpose, any more than a convenience store will ONLY sell milk.
