I met a 73 year old man on-line whose was taking care of his terminally ill wife and we became friends. I would call to check on him, just cheer him up. His wife passed three weeks ago and he has been depressed so I invited him for coffee. First time meeting in person.
Coffee was lovely, coversation was wonderful. We leave the restaurant and I go to hug him good bye. He grabs me and tries to stick his tongue down my throat. I give up. To hell with dating, I can't even be a good person right.

I feel your frustration. You can relax in knowing that you tried to be a good friend. I'm sure the gentleman is grieving and starved for attention. His timing was inappropriate and misplaced in making a move on you -- a friend. Give him a pass and just keep him at arm's length!  Don't stop being you though; just be aware of pervy old men!
