If you want to have a chance of any success here at all, don't talk down to people you don't know. You wouldn't use that line outside of here, so why use it in here? It's all about personality online and you're not off to a very good start with a remark like that. No please apologize to her, because if there's on thing that will happen on here is that your name will get around in a bad way.

No she has pictures of actual cougars in her profile so it was a crack at that (actual cougars can't use computers as they are wild animals) and a play on the "archaic" label. I didn't realize being called a cougar was a bad thing, I have never seen a woman take that negatively. I was not implying she was too stupid to use a computer. Since I have to explain this all the humor was obviously lost.

I have deleted the pics. of cougars on my profile.

I'm sorry you felt attacked. I made a strong point but I still felt I was polite.

You're right, your humor was lost. If you had referred to -- in your original joke regarding cougars -- about not having opposable thumbs or something to connect us to actual wildlife then we would have gotten the joke. Cougar is such a washed out term here that no one necessarily thinks about actual cougars.

There are a lot of women who don't like the labels of cougar or MILF. There was a thread about that a little bit ago.

Anyway, this is a really fun place. It's worth every moment. You should stay and play in the forums.
