Are people choose their mate base on color and ethnicity or is it solely based on looks, which attracts you to the person you want to be your other half?

As you know its personal prefrence... Some people only are attracted to a certian race or ethnic background.. Others attracted to all but a certain race/ethnicity... It is no ones business to judge on that persons choice... You do you and I do me...

On the other hand, there are ethnicities that some out there just aren't all that interested in. It's more about preference than anything else- some people just aren't turned on by certain ethnic groups.

Doesn't it culture pretty much come from the ethnicity you from, for example if you are a Hindi, your culture would lot different from if you were a Christian.

I think a young couple would be more likely to do well resisting the inevitable problems they would encounter.

For me, neither color, ethnicity OR looks is what causes me to be attracted. I'm sure all those things are part of it, but that mysterious pull comes from the whole person - not a small description of what they look like or classify themselves as.

i love men of color. but would never be with a man based on race. i like white men as well... and chicks of any race are just plain HOT.

I agree with you about the looks, looks are killer in most cases but It seems Thu that color & ethnicity plays a bigger role in ppl choosing there mate.

For some people, I suppose...my kids both tend to choose multi-racial boyfriends/girlfriends. I don't think I have a preference overall. I don't really care if we are compatible.

Those who limit themselves in choosing friends and mates based on color, although using the {personal preference) cover are usually prejudice at some level maybe even unknown to themselves. It can be so ingrained that they don't even realize they are prejudice. I have seen it over and over in my life. My personal observations here.

Now extreme cultural differences like religion can cause big issues.
