i'm the type of girl who likes her space. i can go a few days without hearing from a boyfriend, but it would seem my current boyfriend would like to hear me throughout the course of the day. to compromise i decided to at least call him once a day every night. however, it would seem this is not completely satisfactory.

I'd say the minimum to hear from a significant other is once a week.

I personally enjoy an 'end of the day' call every night. I want his voice to be the last one I hear before I go off to sleep. I don't have to have frequent calls throughout the day but deff want the 'end of the day' one.

Hahaha. Oh then you wouldn't like me!!! If you and I were dating you would constantly get texts from me saying 'whatcha doing?' and stupid stuff like that. And I'd text you every night saying something like 'sleep tight cutie!' or something of that nature. Just me.

I think it depends on how serious the relationship is and how often you see eachother.

If you live close...and have easy access to see eachother....then i dont think theres any reason to have to call every day.

But if you are doing the LDR thing...thing a call every day is key to staying together. But thats JMO.

I'm the same way, I like a lot of space. My bf isn't used to that but he seems to be coping well

I'm not sure how this feels but one can guess every body need's there own freedom and space.

It personaly wouldn't bother me to much, but as the old saying goes.. to each there own.

Maybe this boyfriend of your's likes to hear your voice if not maybe he does have issues who really knows. All you can really do is be up front and honest with him and say hey your the type of person who need's space and would rather not hear from you for a week or two etc. Who know's.. I'm not saying your like that but some are and other's are not.

oh he isn't as crazy as i make him sound. he's a sweetheart. he doesn't demand it of me, he just says it would be nice to hear my voice more often, apparently he's used to previous girlfriends calling him several times a day...

i just feel like maybe i should try to accomodate him perhaps?

he's just got heart pangs, and he probably has trouble sleeping and eating too. he's falling for you too fast is all dear.

maybe talking it out with you will ease the tension a little.

texts would be fine as long as your girlfriend doesn't have to reply to all of 'em

I like texting throughout the day and a phone call before bed.

Hey girl...you got to remember, any/all relationships are a "give & take"!

If you were to give a little slack, and maybe make an effort to chat/talk just a little more(for his sake). Then maybe if he would sacrifice some of his time with you...to give you that space you need.

Might be worth a try...JMO

I agree I'd lose interest if I only talked to someone once a day but i'm wanting the person i'm interested in to be my best friend as well

I don't like talking during the day b/c work is too hectic with meetings, calls, etc. I do enjoy random off the wall texts that make me laugh and vice versa.... I will do the end of the evening call before bed but I don't like my whole evening being on the phone chatting, there's too much to do before bed.... Here being my relaxing release as well as the chores when I get home..
