Ok, so I joined the army about a year ago. Not exactly any luck finding women. I mean seriously, how many women in the army are actually attractive, not whores, not *****es, not Sergeant or above, and WITHIN REACH. I met one nice girl in the barracks but to be honest, she's not really my type. Ya she's nice, ya she's attractive, but she's not what I'm looking for at all. And now all the army buddies are calling me weak because the one time I drank with her, I didn't take advantage of her and have sex with her. Ya it would have been easy, but I'm not that type of guy. Especially not on a first date. I still talk to her, but I'm not out to use anyone. So now I feel kind of **** out of luck. What now? Anyone have any good ideas?

Yes, suck it up, act like a man, and do what you went there for, you aren't there to screw around, can't you put your time there to good use, are you there to phuck around, can't you get by with friends for now? Or am I just some old lady who doesn't know what the hell she is talking about. Anyways, good luck to you.

Network with your platoon or company buddies.. Someone is married to a local, and she's got a sister/cousin/friend that's single and looking too.. I spent 9 yrs in the Army, and was amazed after I met my (then) future wife just how many of my buddies wanted to meet her friends.

Where are you stationed? Stateside or APO?

I am certainly here doing what I have to do, but Fort Bragg is like, a military town so very few women are willing to date a military guy. As for friends, ya I have few on base. Most of the guys just want to party all the fricking time, and that's NOT what I'm here to do. I'm starving for romance, but I guess I'll just have to wait the 6 years to find it.

Get involved with stuff off base. Read the local papers, and find out stuff that'll help you.. Like.. Dances, shows.. stuff for singles.

I was in the same boat when I went to Hood. 95% of the single guys just wanted to party. I did too for a while.. Then, I went to a BBQ at a buddie's house, and started seeing one of his single neighbors.

aw come on soldier.. this lady is right. besides your allowed to wear civies . So get out there go to place where you think you might meet someone. get away from the locals. Hey I served 20 years in the Navy .Its no different at a navy base. you make your life do not let others dictate to you what you should do.
