This is just a little something to let you know that this guy is the best!! He is leaving for boot camp tomorrow morning and I am personally sending him all the love and support I can send.

V, any idea where his boot and AIT are going to be? Or what his MOS is if he's going Combat Arms? (They usually have OSUT.. One Stop Unit Training).. Both schools at once.

Not sure about John's MOS or his AIT but I do know that he is going to SC for boot.
Talked to him earlier today and he is so excited he could bust. I'm not sure if he will be able to do it but the advice that I gave was to sleep well before leaving cause he will be needing a sharp mind and the rest when he gets there.
He truly is now my little brother and I will be doing all I can to make sure he has what I can give...
Right now his computer is broken so he hasn't seen this but he does know that I have posted something for him so if there is any wisdom anyone wants to share or if there are prayers or other thoughts you would like me to send his way please post and I will pass on all I can every chance I get to talk with him.

*UPDATE*

Just heard from John and he is in DC right now waiting for his connecting flight.

He is tired but doing well. He has been placed in charge of two other recruits that are a bit of a handful so he is afraid to shut his eyes for very long. Maybe on his next plane he will be able to shut his eyes for a bit.

He has promised to call the first chance he gets so I will kepp you all posted.

Last I heard from John he was actually bored. lol Said he was being kept in the barracks all the time and it was getting to him. That was several days ago and I haven't heard from him in a bit. I'm sure he is terribly busy.
