To the profile that reads, Remember my name, you'll be screaming it later. They say that is how you get over someone.

To each his own.

How about time and healing.

I wish I would have thought of that one for my profile name. Darn it!

out of sight/ out of mind usually works -- move somewhere else..different city, state, continent

Isn't that running? Why not just stay where you are and deal with it? They're an ex for a reason, you can move on in the same state or city...

Nothing wrong with going elsewhere to get a "new beginning" ... it worked out pretty well for me. If you want to call it "running", so be it ... of course, I didn't like where I was living before that much, anyway.

The only time I would caution against moving far away is if there are children involved ... then I believe you should stay as close as possible so that the kids can have both parents in their lives on a regular basis.

Try not going to the same old haunts that you used to go to together. He will probably be there sporting the new one. grumble

actually you can find out who is more of your true best friend......a dog or a woman..just lock them both in the trunk for an hour and see which one will be happier to see ya when you open the trunk:banana:

Give yourself 2 days, no more, to cry all day for him. And the third day you fix yourself and get your things done, and have a girls night out at a special place. Get drunk, flirt, dance do whatever makes you happy. :D

How do you get over someone that you've loved so much you know things will never work out so it had to end. How do you deal with seeing them with someone else and not have it hurt like hell while you are still alone?

Stop beating yourself up for being bummed. Break ups, even for cause, are tough. Have a good cry and pamper yourself a little without going overboard.

Try to focus on the fact that you can love; not who you loved, and now have faced the facts about. It is part of a learning curve. If the Ex can move on so can you. Who he is with is no slight to you.

What worked best for me was figureing out a place I wanted to be and going there. School is never a bad choice and gives you a temporary new residence and circle of friends. Be surprised how out of site helps with out of mind. Things are easier than you might think to replace so ditch the memorbilia and move forward. Staying busy and having fun is very theraputic. I am not necessarily saying becomeing a Hardy Party but a little fun does wonders for the self esteem.

Tons of new friends to move forward with here.
