After being bummed out last night all about this dating thing I decided to go out and have some fun tonight. As you guys can tell from my profile picture. Other than working I am a musician I play guitar and bass. The drummer for the band I used to play in has a daughter who is now 14 I started giving her guitar lessons at the age of 7 (friend was upset he wanted her to be a drummer). Anyway we have a place here where I live that local musicians get together and play once a week. You don't have to have a band just bring your instruments and get together with whoever and play. It is open to all ages. So we all met down there tonight I took my Bass and my Guitar my buddy brought his drums and for the first time the little one brought her guitar. I had another guy there play bass and the little one and I were switching off between lead and rythem guitar and I just pretty much forgot about everything in life except that moment. My Idol in music has alway's and alway's will be STEVIE RAY VAUGHN and tonight she played lead on superstition and played it flawlessley. I was so amazed at how good she has gotten over the years of lessons. And one of the things that I will alway's cherish is that my friend told me tonight you taught her how to play like that. We are gonna be playing in a battle of the bands competition next month and she is gonna be part of it which is something I think is Just GREAT. Anyway this is probably not the place to post this but I am new to the forums. It is just with all that has been going on lately I wanted to post a good experience that I was able to be a part of.

silly you know it is funny because I never took guitar lessons I pretty much taught my self how to play and have never been able to learn how to read sheet music play everything by ear and when I started giving her guitar lessons I told my friend I have a lot of bad habits on guitar and he told me that he didn't care and tonight it was all worth while because bad habits or not she is a great guitarist and it seems like she is gonna stick with it

Just wanted to give you an update from last night I called in a favor today from a friend who owns a recording studio and we are gonna do a demo cd featuring the little one I mentioned last night all of us got together to talk about it tonight and you know what her condition was all she wants is to play my Fender Strat guitar for the demo it took me up until 2 years ago to be able to justify buying it and all I could say tonight is you can have what ever you want LOL I guess I will have to blow the dust of of my Ibanez guitar to get this demo done but I think this is gonna be great and it leads right into our battle of the bands thing so we will get [lenty of practice I wish I could post some songs on this website because some of them really are good. Music has always been my passion all through life and I feel so proud to be able to pass that on to other people.
