In most cultures men dont wear an engagement ring, its just the tradition. If anything, I think some kind of engagement gift would be better instead of a ring.

I heard a discussion on the concept of men having engagement rings during the duration of the engagement. I think women like to show off the rock on their finger..
Should men were one to show they are taken? Do the women they are engaged to even care? Would the men want to were one?

You can send me one even if you don't want to be engaged to me.

Eh, it's a personal preference. If the guy wants to show he's taken, sure, go ahead. Make the decision as a couple.

Comments like Krupa's is why I know many men that have gotten a "tattoo" wedding band in place of a piece of metal. Serves the purpose with the tradition of claiming someone without the concern of losing a finger if the ring gets caught on something, etc.

well years ago when i was running a harvest crew that was on of the first things that came off was rings or other jewelry that could catch on moving parts..

i would go for an engagement flyrod though..bigsmile

Some guys get them thru their nose.

Easier for her to lead them.
