Ronald Regan cut funds to mental institutions. They even talked about it in my college textbooks. They released sooo many mentally ill patients and put them out on the street.

RIP Ronnie flowerforyou

The fact is, from Grenada to the Washington and Moscow summits, from the recession of '81 to '82, to the expansion that began in late '82 and continues to this day, we've made a difference. The way I see it, there were two great triumphs, two things that I'm proudest of. One is the economic recovery, in which the people of America created — and filled — 19 million new jobs. The other is the recovery of our morale. America is respected again in the world and looked to for leadership.

From Reagan's farewell address.

Wow, I must of hit a sensitive spot there. laugh You got so defensive. Is that all you've got?

I told a fact about the cuts. I said that they EVEN talked about it in my college textbooks. It is rare to see a president mentioned in college textbooks outside of history classes.

I was doing a psych clinical and he was mentioned in that textbook. It pertained to the topic. He did a serious injury to the mental institutions. That was a sad day when that happened.

Nope, I wasn't asleep during the 70's. I was in grade school and high school. Btw, when I was in grade school, I was taught to not put people down or be rude to them. I'm seeing that not all people were taught that when they were children.

it was true

I biitched about it at the time

there were homeless nut jobs wandering around all over the place talking to themselves and waving their arms around

but the one thing he did do was to defeat the Soviet Union and drive em into collapse
